Kinda off-topic but still related, did they explain how Black Panther was able to knock Silver Surfer off his board in (I think) Civil War? Cuz that just seems improbable to me.

I think that was in the gravity story line of Fantastic Four , Reed gave T'challa some sort of dues ex machina equipment that nullified surfers power and T'challa rocked him.

Eh, pay no mind to the individual fights. They've been largely insignificant except for the Dr Strange/Illyana one that tied in as an important plot point to help the X-Men flee from Utopia in the first fight with the Avengers.

So I haven't been following this event very closely do to the negative feedback I've been hearing. (I'm mostly here for spoilers)Anybody wanna give me a rundown on what fights went down and who one? So far all I'm aware of is thor losing a couple fights and iron man foolishly wins against magneto. (the fact that he won is what's foolish to me.)

Not so bad really, tony with prep is far more credible than batman with prep. What amazed me is he didn't just switch on some magnetism reversal device and just watch mags knock himself out.

Let's see....

Colossus/Juggs has beaten Thing and fought Spider-Man till he left.
Majik beat Black Widow.
Captain America beat Gambit "you have my full attention now" was a pretty great line.
Emma Frost/Phoenix beat Thor.
Haven't seen many others of it.

and thats a fight we unfortunately never saw

I thought that was in the first or second issue of the versus series?
No. The Magik vs Strange fight was never shown. All we saw was him following her into limbo and them emerging the next issue. It wasnt featured in Vs at all

Daredevil/Psylocke was a draw

You'll know Thor has hit rockbottom when he somehow loses a fight with wolverine.

I wonder what would be more humiliating for Thor - losing to Wolverine or losing to Spider-Man...

it's payback for making his marriage disappear.

Jokes aside, I'm pretty sure if Pete was ever going to go on some kind of a suicide mission avx9 is exactly how he'd go out. Corny jokes and quips until he's dead. :spidey:

Spidey wouldn't even think about messing with Thor unless Thor was brainwashed or something.

Wolverine is a different ball of wax because he's a stab happy moron 50% of the time.

Im glad they said that Piotr was holding back when he was beating on Spiderman. How durable is he? I didnt think he'd be able to survive a punch in the face by a Phoenix powered Juggernaut Colossus. He'd probably need reconstructive surgery if Piotr went at him full force

As for Storm/BP, I thought how their [blackout]marriage ended [/blackout]was incredibly weak

In the panel where he was punched, it looked like Colossus damn near caved his face in. I thought I was reading an issue of Preacher or The Boys for a minute.....:o

Yeah it was pretty brutal, possibly Spider-Man's fourth worst beating. And of course Piotr was holding back. At this point he could literally superman punch the world in two easily.

How Storm/BP got married was far weaker than how they annuled.

Yeah, it still didn't top Morlun plucking out his eyeball and eating it. :wow:

Or the beating Black Trantula gave him before Brubaker decided he wasn't barrio gansta enough and reworked him.

Or the first beating Morlun gave him for that matter.

That happened in the storyline The Other. And yes, it was awful.

Another famous beat-down Spidey got was from Dr Doom in ASM #350.

Probably the most graphic thing done in a Spidey comic since Kraven blew his brains out or Jean DeWolff's corpse.
