Probably because they were attached for so long, but after all this time with Scott being with Emma I'd wager they'd probably stick Jean with Logan if they ever did bring her back. Because, ya know, doing something with Jean that doesn't somehow involve Scott, Logan, and/or the Phoenix is just too damn hard for them.

Me either, but then again I never saw Ms. Marvel becoming friends with Spider-Man and I never imagined Thor hitting a kid/tween in the stomach in the 616, and yet both have happened.

After Marvel broke up Pete and Mary-Jane in the worst possible way, I feel confident that they won't put Jean and Scott back together when she comes back. They probably won't put her with Logan either. They'll turn back the clock and Jean will once again become the maneating swinging bachelorette she never was.

Wolverine leading the Avengers is the stupidest thing since, well, Thor punching a kid in the guts/Beast shooting his best friend in the face/Black Panther KO'ing his wife.

Oh you know its only a matter of time before it happens, especially since FF consists of a dozen or so characters and sales have decreased since Fantastic Four returned. What better way to increase numbers than to add everyone's favorite tough guy? Hey he may even replace Thing if he ever decides to take a break from the Fantastic Four

I don't think it's that big a deal that Thor punched a kid in the stomach. Compared to some of the other stuff going down in AvX, it's the lesser of (2....3....4.....5....)6 evils.

In his defense, and something which the art there doesn't portray, Gabriel's speed powers age him. So despite the fact that he's a younger teenager he's supposed to have the body of an older teenager, possibly even early-mid 20s at the moment. So maybe Thor didn't realize he was a kid.
