Looking at the preview of AvX #10, the jobber torch is being passed to Iron Fist.
Maybe this has been said before, but I have only read the last few pages. This event doesn't at all feel like Avengers vs X-Men anymore. It has become Avengers vs The Phoenix. I feel like more and more X-Men are going to be on the side of the Avengers in this fight by the time it ends. I think this story would've been a lot better without the "Phoenix Five" aspect (although Spider-Man's interaction with Colossus in #9 was good) because it has made the "X-Men" the bad guys of the story, when it really should've been a lot more unclear about who was in the right and who was in the wrong (even Civil War did a better job of this).
i agree with you, the avengers just came onto the xmen turf and told them what was going to happen. at the begining of this story the attitude of the avengers was if you are too powerful and not in our camp you must be evil. i am sure scott and xmen take on this is how can a team thats letting wanda run around going to tell us what to do about hope. thats just crazy.I dont know I still look at the avengers as the bad guys of this story. I mean the X-Men where training Hope to take the PF and then the Avengers but there heads in acting all superior and saying they are taking hope which led to most of this in the first place and now that the avengers have hope what are they doing? .....training her

Well, for those who are upset that Marvel has been casting the X-Men (or some of them anyway) as the villains of this event, Rich Johnson's advance review of Avengers vs. X-Men #10 is likely going to make you even more PO'ed. This is the X-Men's version of Shadowland or Stark Reassembled. DD turned bad, no prob - he was possessed by an ancient Japanese demon. Iron Man was a *****e hunting down former friends....? No problem, re-image his brain with a hard drive with the last backup done conveniently before Civil War.
I'm not surprised by this.
Uncanny is being canceled after AvX and Bendis is taking over the franchise with the new book "All-New X-Men" featuring the return of the original 5 X-Men of the 60s in present day. You'd almost think Marvel was having a hard time coming up with a decent mission statement for the X-Men franchise. But that'd only happen if some idiot wrote a story that made their previous mission statement moot. But no writer is that bad.
So, what's this I hear about the writer of House of M writing X-Men soon?
Don't remind me of Shadowland. I was actually really digging Daredevil going off the deep end until it turned out he was just possessed. I actually felt like it was a fairly logical progression that he would be driven pretty much mad and go to extremes like that.
The X-Men's popularity waned 8 years ago when Bendis took over the Avengers.
Does that mean the X-Men will get back on top with Bendis writing them?![]()
Which coincided with when Morrison left the franchiseThe X-Men's popularity waned 8 years ago when Bendis took over the Avengers.
