No, you don't understand. The movie isn't dropping like a brick! The haters are just in denial of it's box office success.
Oh man, I just wandered into the positivity thread. Fear not everyone! Apparently Forbes does not understand how financing works and this movie was paid off before it even hit theaters.![]()

Brad Brevet said:Saturday AM Update: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice takes a massive tumble compared to its opening day last weekend with an estimated $15.35 million Friday. That's an 81% drop from its opening day last Friday, which did include $27.7 million from Thursday previews, but even excluding those numbers you're looking at a 71.5% drop. Rival studios peg the film's second weekend dropping as much as 70%, resulting in a three day weekend around $50 million.

That source is really trying to spin this as normal. This isn't. There's zero competition.
Wow. That's bad ...
That's fine with me. Give us 3-4 solid solo films, replace Snyder for JL and I think everything will be forgiven.I can see it now "WB Damage Control: Delays Justice League, Moves Up Batman Solo".

Rth (a user known for having access to early info) over on the Box Office Theory forums says that the Saturday take is heading toward the $20-$21 million range. That's a bit higher than my $19.4 million estimate, but at least I got within ten percent.
They already dug his grave (literally and figuratively) with the ending. This guarantees you wont see a superman movie for years though. Im a little tired of batman frankly.
I'd bet a few studios are wishing they hadn't given this such a wide berth now. 20/20 hindsight though.
And if that's the case, no more Henry Cavill...Superman's second return to the big screen has probably come to an end. It looks like herolee could be right after all.
