I was wrong. The article merely speculated Ben Affleck would have wanted to be cast in an acting role if he was directing Justice League. Though looking back at this year-old article, it's funny seeing people making joking "Affleck for Batman!" comments.

After this past weekend, though I doubt he really cares that much about the backlash, he won't slack on principle now.

Yeah might very well happen. He's already training.

But he's sorta above all this. He's an established big Hollywood player. I don't think this affects him at all. Though he was sort of devastated when he failed to land an Oscar nomination for directing Argo.

Cavill was muscular, but he was smaller and ripped before MOS.

Actually Cavill was not ripped anymore when he started training for MOS. He got sick ripped for Immortals, but then he shot a film called The Cold Light Of Day and the director said he could not have an eight pack and all because he was playing a common man, so he had to lose it all.

He auditioned that way for Man Of Steel and said he felt really out of shape. And then when he landed the role, he started again. So he sort of started from square one, but he had muscle memory so he could quickly reach his Immortals shape and then go beyond for the MOS requirements.

Let's think for a second, every time a casting in a CBM that fans hate happens. That becomes one of the best performances in a CBM.

People petition against Keaton and yet he was a badass Batman.

People hated on Ledger, we all know how that went.

More you hate, the better their performance will be.
