The Dark Knight Rises Billy Zane?

Anyone see the news that Billy Zane is trying to land a role in either Batman 3 or Superman? Where would he fit in? I could see Luther in Supes....but as any Batman villain? Which one?

Well, we all know that Nolan loves to use actors from "his experience circle." If Billy Zane does land a role in B3, I hope that it will be a very small role like Michael Jai White as Gambol or something. However, I don't expect Mr. Bad Wig in Titanic to land a role in B3.

Sounds like nothing but rumors, but that pic if very LLish.

I wouldn't mind him in a role in either film; they just need him to tone down his usual overacting.

Just read the article. Thank you. Seems interesting but I am leaning towards rumor. Plus, it's WAY too early for Nolan to be talking SUPERMAN with anyone. Especially considering he will only be producing the next SUPERMAN and not directing. This looks like it's bunk to me but we shall have to wait and see.

I think you are underestimating Nolans involvement in the new superman film.

If Zane still had hair I could have seen him as Harvey Dent/Two-Face, which of course can never happen except in some other parallel universe.

Yep. He'd be a great Black Mask. Zanes been in so much ****, people have forgotten how great an actor he is when given the right material...

Aaaah. My Phantom; not alot of people liked it, but I grew up and still love the movie to death. Zane would make a very interesting Black Mask too, if I may add; his voice would be very interesting. Maybe if he strained it and stressed it a little, then we might have something to work with. But since he's aiming however, he can just only really want the role; not the first time. David Tennant from Doctor Who expressed how he wants to play the Riddler for example; in that retrospective then, I like them both very well and hope for the best in their persuit. Definatly on Tennant's behalf. t:

Zane has a great look and i think he is a decent actor. Only seen him in titanic but he was good in that.

I would have cast him as Dent actually, over ekhart who did not impress me at all. Zane has the right look, hair or no hair, of light and darkness.

I think it is obvious that if Zane is up for any role in B3 or Supes....it would be for either Black Mask or Lex Luthor.

Here is hoping he is up for Lex.

Billy Zane is like a C-List actor at best at this point in his career. Either just make him a random mob boss in the Gotham underworld, or some hopeful DA trying to rise up in the place of Harvey Dent and Dawes...I really wouldn't want to see him as any real pivotal rogues gallery villain. It would be a waste.
