No Time To Die (Bond 25)

Prince Charles is thinking "I am 70 now, so I will be 90 when I take the throne"

Charles: Those are riding rather low! Pull your trousers up old boy!

Ralph: Yes your highness!

Glad to see Craig filming. Makes sense he'd be filming scenes that don't include physical exertion.

And glad to see M's office!

Uuuggghhh, it seems they screwed up Craig's suits again. I was really hopeful that with Mendes and Jany Temime gone, we would get some sensibly cut, dashing English suits this time. However, it seems they have gone right back to the worst of the worst from Skyfall. An overly skinny cut is back as is the silly, overly fussy tab collar from Skyfall. Now, they have also added a tie clip to boot (Is he supposed to be Sterling Archer now?). It's just a poor mishmash of styles.

The choice of colours is not very flattering on Craig's complexion either. The navy tie with white shirt and light grey suit is too high contrast for Craig's low contrast complexion. A pale blue shirt and lighter blue tie would have been far more flattering.

Craig's suits are a much better fit this time 'round. I can feel this movie is going to bring back the excitement and visceral atmosphere of CR/QoS and I'm so here for it.

Sadly those first couple of photos were deceiving. If you watch the full video of the visit, we are right back to the Skyfall look and fit. Even the stupid tab collar on the dress shirt is back.

They should give him a dark suit, which would look more classic. Pale ones can end up looking dated in the future.

BTW, in the future (and this would be quite some years away), what's the likelihood of getting Jonny Lee Miller in the role of M? It would be a nice nod to the classic Bond with his grandfather Bernard Lee. We're talking about probably 20 years time.

You Brits.

Royal Servant- My Queen! The new James Bond movie is in trouble!

Queen- Deploy "The ears"

I have a question: has anyone gotten this?

I was going to get it, but got confused when the reviews for it for for the ultimate version with a different cover. I assume, I want it to be, the 24 films with every single special feature on these movies such as the inside documentaries from the original DVDs back int he day. Is this it?

Couldn't they have picked a more elegant pose for Roger Moore? He was the most gentlemanly Bond of all, and yet his pose looks not as dignified as the others. Also, they made Dalton's pose too straight where it looks now as if he's just smoking a cigar. They should've given him the one from the Living Daylights poster instead.

That's not true whatsoever. Lighter or medium hues in conservative business colours like blue and grey are timeless (Exhibit A - Sean Connery as Bond, Don Draper, etc.) Craig's pale complexion is better served with lighter suits anyways. A dark suit will often wash out a light haired fair skinned person.

I think it would have been interesting if Prince Charles had a cameo.

Charles- You've done it this time Bond. License Revoked.

Well Maggie Thatcher had a cameo back in For Your Eyes Only

Somehow I don't think we're likely to get another Prime Minister in it ever again. Certainly not at the moment with everything up in the air.

I agree this suit he's wearing could be a much better fit (his suits in QoS are the best fit of his era), however I dont think what he's wearing for this movie isn't as bad as the shorter and tighter cut of SF or SP. I do agree with you that the inclusion of the tie pin and the tab collar shirts should be abandoned.

That's the actress Janet Brown portraying Thatcher.

There was that segment with the Queen during the opening ceremonies of the 2012 Olympics:

That was the real Queen until she jumped out of the plane. The actress who played Thatcher looked more like her than Meryl Streep's version.

To be fair, those are movement shots which accentuate fit issues. You might be right that the pants are fitted a little better and not quite so tight, but the jacket still has the same issues of pulling at the button and the shoulders are cut too narrow, which are two of the most aggregious fit issues possible.

We never had these problems when the series hired proper blueblood British directors. :o

Daniel Craig is 51 years old now, and there's nothing wrong with that.

*new tabloid rumor*

“Costume designer and director clash over Bond wearing Levi’s!!!!!!”

I’m calling this the Bondmobile

It’s so out there.

IMO the last non conventional James Bond car was the lotus esprit.

He never drives super cars the likes of mclaren for example

I hope we get another good set of Villains like in Casino Royal and Skyfall. Both Quantum and Spectre failed in that aspect and if this is to be the last of the Daniel Craig series then go out with a Bang not a wimper

Very Batman inspired from the design look. Hopefully Matt Reeve goes for something similar in concept of his Batmobile.
