I hope they have toddler costumes of Rocket for Halloween. Husband's already called dibs on dressing our son up like him. Although I guess we could just dress him up like a raccoon and give him a Nerf foam gun or something.

In the comics, Rocket has an effect on all his word bubbles to indicate that is voice is “different”. I wonder if they’ll add some sort of effect to Cooper’s voice for the movie.

Probably not, it's cooper doing basically no accent or anything crazy. Which is fine. At least no drastic accent like a cockney one.

I wouldn't mind an accented Rocket of some kind, not necessarily brit either. I just assume Gamora and Drax (no idea about the Enting ) will have their normal US accents along with Quill, so Rocket being different would have been fun too.

Maybe he will be and they modify his voice, who knows. But even if he's straight up Cooper..... I'm going to watch a-film with a walking-tree riding gun shooting raccoon in it. Guaranteed.

Rocket looks like he has the blue Guardians uniform on in that 2nd gif. But do they wear this at any point in the film? Or was that just some kind of test footage and not from the actual movie?

I wouldn't call it his REGULAR voice. The way he said "here" seemed a bit bostonish new yorkish. Plus he seemed to sort of, talk louder. I don't think it's Cooper's regular voice per se

I think Cooper's just dialling it up to 11. He's not really doing an accent, but he can be as brash and obnoxious as he wants. Bet he had a lot of fun doing the voice work.

Yeah. It's definitely an exaggerated version of Cooper's natural voice. But tougher, more gangster sounding. I so want to hear more!

I cannot wait for all the deleted scenes/BTS footage/gag reels for this movie.

I've heard/seen some complaints toward the voice but I'm fine with it as is. I'm a big fan of Cooper so I can't wait to see RR in all his glory. Just the tidbits from the trailers & featurettes expel nothing but pure badassery.

I showed the trailer to my colleagues at work; they're far from comic-book movie fans, and 5 out of the 6 basically said they'll go watch it to see a badass gun-toting raccoon.

So, want to help your movie succeed, you know what to do.

The new romantic, "John and Sandy, a romantic film about two people who overcome religious barriers, family issues, society's prejudice, through love, determination and a little help from a badass gun-toting raccoon from space."
