Pffft. He figured out who Batman was.

Yeah, thanks to some lazy and convenient writing.

It takes special talent to feel it in your bones and stuff. :o

Hey, you're lazy and convenient. :cmad:

Blake is one of my least favorite characters in Nolan's trilogy. Such a boring Mary Sue type character.

Blake was awesome. This is madness. No other character in the trilogy represented the spirit of Gotham and the heart of Batman like he did. Not a single one.

Blake was fine. I enjoyed every scene JGL was in. He was a good spirited character and represented everything Bruce wanted in Gothams citizens.

Then it's a good thing I'm not writing scripts... unlike a certain Mr. J Nolan.

Oh please... what exactly did he do?

He was nothing more than an arrogant, below average rookie cop. Extremely unlikeable and extremely unworthy of the mantle.

He was basically the man who allowed Bruce to finally feel comfortable about hanging it up.

When you put it that way, I guess you're right. Thank you.

Show some conviction. :o

But Rashad is right, let's get back to Interstellar before the scarlet letters come for us all.

I liked him but I will admit he leaned more to being an idea rather than a character at points. He was a representation of the good that Batman inspired in Gotham's citizens and the legacy Bruce leaves behind to inspire the city to save itself while allowing him to save himself. He takes the symbol and continues Bruce's work inspiring Gotham and allows Bruce to live as Bruce Wayne for the first time in years, possibly ever.

On the topic of Interstellar, any bets who'll be announced next?

Not sure who would be next for Interstellar, but I genuinely feel like Nolan will pick Channing Tatum for a role for another film in the future. Just looking at Tatum's circle of friends (Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, James Franco), not to mention that James Franco was in discussions with Nolan to be Eames in Inception... It seems like it would be a Nolan choice.

And don't forget, he cast Ellen Page, and has recently cast Matthew McConaughey. :cwink:

You are so precious.

He was likeable later on in the story, but the young version of that character was an a-hole. The one who gets slapped by Rachel.

Yeah... but I still didn't dislike him. I sympathized with him.

He was frustrated, lost, confused and without pupose, all of which were stepping stones in his journey. He needed the slap to wake him up.

None of which I felt for Blake. Yes he was an angry orphan but he found his purpose and became an officer... if anything he should have been a successor to Gordon and not Batman.

None of it felt right to me in the film (It's the films one major flaw in my eyes).

Blake can be angry and hope for a better Gotham all he wants... but that doesn't make him worthy of the mantle.

But yeah, this is a discussion for another time.

I liked the Casey Affleck casting very much. Nobody saw it coming. I hope the rest of the casting is like that.

Can anybody PM good ol Sharky the script?

I wouldn't mind if JGL is never cast in a Nolan film again. There are times when a director has no chemistry with an actor. This is one of those times. Both JGL performances in Inception and TDKR are completely flat and uninspired.

His performances in both films can be summed up by:
