Chapter 11: "Powerless" discussion thread 12/03

I'm gonna fool myself and hope they bring Nathan back.He was one of the show's finest characters, such a shame.

Nathan was one of the best characters period. I don't think he's gonna come back though, I mean how many shots did he take? :csad:

I officially hate H.R.G. now. He pulled a "Mohinder", which will now be my new term whenever makes a collossally stupid change in plans that winds up ****ing everything up.

Well, we can't be positive that it is him...but even if it is, his motive is more logically than Mohinder's.

Oh man, HRG is a good call and I have a feeling you guys are right.

But back when Noah said he made a deal to get the Company off his family's back, Nathan and co hadn't infultrated Prima-tech yet, and been caught on candid camera talking about exposing The Company, so i don't see how Noah comes into play here.

Still, they all seem a bit too confident with the fate of the world laying in the hands. I mean, with the world at stake, why treat a theory as a cold hard fact? That leads me to believe there must've been a third healer at some point.
beeecause it is a fact? have you not watched the show at all?

Nathan's not dead. Totally HRG that shot him though. But man, I hate ****ing Myla. The Wondertwins storyline was completely useless and unnecessary for the first half of the season. You could have taken them out, and the season would not have suffered.

The season isn't over yet people. :whatever:

It's the fanboy in them that makes them say something that harsh. No matter how disappointing this season felt, it still didn't finish. Had season one ended with it's first ten episodes, it would've been mediocre, too. Granted, this is a second season, but some forget that just as much as the show is continuing previous plots/storylines, it also is creating new ones, intertwining characters, and so on. Weak season? Yeah, sure, but the majority of the reason why the season is weak is because we wanted the season to try to fulfill something before the finale. It doesn't work that way. Nobody could honestly expect to be fulfilled with the greatness of the entire first season with only 10 episodes in of the second season. The fact that this may be the end of season two only elevates what I posted above.

2. Which is one less than Matt who is alive. I don't think they will have the balls to kill off Nathan.

I agree w/ everyone else that it was HRG. He plea bargained w/ Bob. He would go back to his family if he killed Nathan.

But he made the deal before Nathan made the decision to come out of the closet. If it werent for those secret cameras!

You act like you know for sure and it's HRG. It's probably not, that's hopefully just misdirection. God, these smilies suck::bh: :brucebat: :im: :dkm: :abom:

beeecause it is a fact? have you not watched the show at all?

I'm aware its fact. My question is how do they know? Why are they so confident. In other words, who is the test dummy healer that they tried it on?

I can see it being Claude that shot Nathan. He is invisible afterall. And we haven't really heard much from him.

They should bring Nathan back with more of Claire's blood, then kill him off at the end of the next volume. :o

I don't think he's dead either. They have too many ways to bring ppl back now, from Peter's/Claire's blood to Peter/Hiro going back in time......

Most definitely.

Well, he could've just made the deal to be the new agent of the Company. Nothing specific.

Bob: Hmm, so Nathan is going to oust us. Lets test our new employee's loyalty. *calls HRG*

2. Which is one less than Matt who is alive. I don't think they will have the balls to kill off Nathan.

I hope they don't as well.

Keep in mind guys, the original spoilers for this episode before the reshoot had Nathan getting sick.

This murder could have just been one of the adjustments the writers made to use as a cliffhanger.

Anything past tonight's episode isn't even known though,so only time will tell.

:(

Well, I'm glad Sylar's alive and well, as I like him as a villain (though I wish Maya would have stayed dead). Here's hoping he turns his attention towards getting revenge on the company for infecting him with the virus. It'd be cool to see the two villian aspects of the show duke it out with the good guys caught in the crossfire. Plus, mix in Adam when he gets out, which of course he will, and you've got potential for some pretty good stories.

I thought it was a good volume. I guess I'm easily pleased. And I loved that Sylar grabbed a can of spinach.

It makes the most sense to me. The way he walked, he even looked like him. And considering the deal he made with The Company, there aren't a lot of likely candidates.

I can see it being Claude that shot Nathan. He is invisible afterall. And we haven't really heard much from him.

But why would Claude shoot Nathan. Company screwed Claude too, I'm sure that if Nathan was to take them down, he'd ask "when do we start?"

I'm aware its fact. My question is how do they know? Why are they so confident. In other words, who is the test dummy healer that they tried it on?

Yeah they somehow managed to know that a gunshot will kill healers. If there were at least 2 flyers in 25 years, there's got to be a few other healers running around out there (they tend to stick around).
