Chapter 40 - “Dying of the Light” – Discussion Thread 10/20/08

There should be a Graphic Novels Discussion Thread with Links to the the new ones.

I really liked this ep. I was sad Ando didn't die and happy Adam did. :D

I'm not too sure how Peter is going to get his powers back, but I learned not to think too much into this show because I start not liking it then.

I got ta say Elle taking a shower isn't very smart since Water & her powers doesn't mix well .

Well Elle wasnt expecting on her powers going haywire while she showers. When her powers are under control she can shower just fine.

Who cares if it's logical or not? Everyone knows it was just an excuse for the artists to draw Elle nude. :o

Anyone else think that this volume could also be called Generations. Its actually doing what Vol.2 was suppose to do.

Freakin' A. But don't speak too soon. The development of the original 13 Company members and their motivations/histories is laughable at best. So far, it seems like a lot of build up just to have them die w/o any complete answers. Save for Ma & Pa Peterelli, and Maury of course. Season 2 was virtually all about Adam Monroe, and he was offed almost as soon as he appeared this season, with three dangling plot threads no less.

*Sidenote, what's with everyone (Adam/Arthur Petrelli) using Maury as the enforcer of their will? His power is basically mind control, yet he's always the one following orders.

OMG, Arthur is Parasite.

Parasite. There's another good comparison.

Get some goddang security on Level 5! People are just walking in and out of there like it's Wal-Mart.

Good episode last night. Daphne is my favorite new character.

yeah the Company is falling apart. tisk tisk, if only they went to that management convention...

If you've been following the graphic novels over the summer, you'd know The Company has been falling apart ever since the end of season two.

Angela being incapacitated isn't helping either. Arthur and Pinehearst are destroying it from the inside out.

No, chill out and read first. lol

Her powers are going wonky and she can't control them. She's been in the UK looking for Claude to help her out.

I didn't want Adam to die :csad:. It's missed opportunity to shed some light on the original 12. I was expecting them to at least have a conversation about what's been going on. He was one of my fav's, i'm gonna miss him. Why do they always kill off the wrong characters on Heroes?

really can you pm me with more info on that. I hear that info is on the box set of Season 2 along with stuff they would have done but i dont have it yet. I wanna be updated on the whole story about season 2 tho.

I can't be bothered to look for it but there was an interview with Tim Kring where he basically said that Hiro's little time travel to the 70s episode was as much as they wanted us to learn about the development of the Company.

Actually that's incorrect. That's not the only time they wanted us to know about them.

There was an episode titled "1973" that was set up for the second half of season two that was going to delve into the history of The Company and the twelve founders, but because of the writers strike, the episode was cut.
