Chapter 45 - The Eclipse, Pt. 2 - Discussion Thread 12/02/08

Yeah......f**k this show!:cmad:

The thing about modern serials are, they are supposed to be an ongoing plot. Unlike sitcoms or normal dramas, the status quo changes every episode and is not restored, because like life...there is not a reset button. When you have a three episode arc only to restore everything at the end, you have failed as a writer.

I think the last time he let out his ability like that... his entire village ended up mind-wiped with him touching anyone.

Yep. He did it in the graphic novels and wiped out an entire villages memory.

Maya's still around? I thought she was gone

So disappointed. So Claire and Sylar can be dead...as in totally, completely dead and yet they can still be ressurected?

So, now my question is...what was the point of the Eclipse? The entire story line has literally just been washed away. Completely un-done. There were no changes to the status quo. Claire and Sylar are just fine. No changes to the status quo. So what was the point of three episodes? When you have a serial, and you go with a deus-ex machina ending to a 3 story line arc to return everything to the status quo, you have failed as a writer.
Wow...Your intelligence peaks at jumping to conclusions.

Why are you fighting so hard to hate the show, yet you can't seem to stop watching it?

Same question I was asking. It was a cool moment, but what are the repercussions? Does something grow from it or will everyone go back to what they were doing prior to it.

He didn't hit anyone.

I was being hyperbolic :csad: Still, it is most likely that he would break his arm if he fired that gun with no training.

And yay, now we get Seth Green giving Hiro a life changing speech. This show hit a new low this week.

Exactly, there should be consequences to the eclipse, like, if a person who has powers dies he should stay dead!

Not that I mind bringing back Sylar, I love him , (someone should ask him if there is a white light) but this whole things makes the eclipse kinda pointless.

I'm not fighting to hate the show. The show is just suffering from really bad writing.

Well Claire did technically die and we were suppose to have a
blonde main cast member die...

I have a question. Wasnt Isaac the one that drew the original comics that Hiro reads? Who's been doing them now that he's dead?

I hope what Noah is saying is true and that Sylar isnt a Petrelli

I think they have been retconned into being all about Hiro.

Claire even hates Noah in a teeny-angst-ish way again, Sylar isn't really a Petrelli (yet some how Arthur knew the exact way that Angela was manipulating him), and everything is back to perfect!

DEUS EX MACHINA!

Didn't Elle get over Sylar killing her father three episodes ago?

Nice save by Hiro.

It's like saying "Oh...it was all a dream."

Sylar now knows he's been conned about dear o' mom

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA, THAT WAS AWESOME, HIRO IS THE MAN!!!:D:D:D:up:
