that totally blows man, makes me feel bad in my area there is like around 10 theaters i could go within 10-15mi radis.

Hemsworth showed more promise in the 5 minutes he was in Star Trek than he did the whole time he was in Home & Away.

No he didn't. The guy was the same wooden actor he was on Home and Away.

I wouldn't say so. I thought his speech to his wife as she was in the shuttle was believable and touching.

And you can't really judge someones acting ability on them soap operas. Everyone is crap in them, and a lot of stars made the transition very well.

I was gonna make a response post to JMC, but you've pretty much covered it there, Ace.

I guess it's pretty subjective - one mans wooden performance is anothers pretty decent and poignant one, with Hemsworth's brief appearance in Star Trek being the latter of the two.

Yea I mean, he still had a job to do, he wasn't gonna be an emotional wreck. A captain is supposed to be calm and reserved. Maybe that can come across as wooden.

I happen to think that JMC just doesnt like Hemsworth in general; which, of course, is his perogative.

Me personally, I'm all for giving him a chance.

for me i dont know him enough to considered him good or bad yet. As i said before trek is the only thing i seen him in. And thor is going to be a totally different type of film so who knows how he is going to be.

yea i try to be open minded on a guy i dont really know, but once i seen a preformance that is when i would judge them on how good, bad, ok they were. Sure there is some actors who do just plain suck, and others i dont care for. Then there is ones like a depp/dowey/jackson/etc..... guys who do pretty solid work all around.

I got nothing against the dude in general, he's just a bland an actor. I get everyone wants to give him the benefit of the doubt, and no disrespect to anyone, but most of you have no clue about this guy. If you'd seen his work as much as most Australians have you'd have a very different opinion on him, the dude basically had the same facial expression for 3 years on TV. Let's put it this way, I'd be more comfortable with Nat Portman and Jaimie Alexanders casting than Hemsworths. Consider this a heads up to everyone, don't expect this guy to blow you away.

Well, he seems to have blown Branagh away. I've been surprised by actors before, so who knows?

Fair enough dude; head's up duly noted.

I guess only time will tell.

people should really wait for the movie to make up their minds.
wolverine was played by a 6'4 aussie
the 1st batman was played by someone who was 5'10 and an average build

Playing the old Aussie card I see.:yay:

What else has he played in besides Star Trek?

He was on some Austrailian soap apparently.

I wasn't impressed by his scene is Trek. It was the worst part for me, and it's even more painful because Jennifer Morrison, who I love, sucked in that part as well.

But I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, Trek isn't Shakespeare. Of course putting all the talent around him could show how inexperienced he is.

i think Hemsworth is going to definately be big enough. for god sake Brandon Routh was Superman!!! Im not even worried about it. and as far as his acting goes....he isnt that bad at all. He wouldnt be getting the lead role in big movies like this (in which he beat a lot of peoples "favorites" who never woulda made weight) and Red Dawn.

well routh i hated how he looked in SR. Chris i am sure will look good. Plus we dont have a clue on costume yet and how much of his body is going to be shown.
