Like I said, I have no idea how any of this stuff actually works mechanically, but if it's as simple as a download and install type of thing, then this could actually prove to be a pretty cool, cost-effective, and easy way of getting a lot of diverse choices for Hypesters.

I can get that, and understand where you're coming from. What if we had a poll where the users got a choice between 10 of the fonts from that site, and whichever one, or two, won were added to the site? I dunno, I'm just spitballing, mainly because a lot of people ask for more skins, and it seems like an easy enough thing to do.

Edit: Since I'm a user only on these boards, do you guys know of any programs that can be used to create skins that run on Mac? I'm into graphic design, and I'd love to contribute some Hype!-exclusive skins.

Unless, of course, you want to fully be in control of the creative process, Drak. I doubt that's the case, though, since you let CC work on the last one.

Sir Drakon, something screwy has been happening for me I don't know if this is happening for anyone else but sometimes an ad at the bottom of the screen will block the go to bar. It's always the same ad and I don't even know what it's for, it just makes it hard to read the board titles. It happens like this...

I can get that, and understand where you're coming from. Skins are easy, but fonts, at least as far as I've seen, are a lot harder to deal with, since they require a bit more than a simple file inclusion. I'm not necessarily AGAINST the idea, but think about it. Other than with sigs, how many people use something than a default skin, or even a default color?

In a way, I do want to be in control. I mean, ask CC--yes, I was very generous with what I did and didn't let her do, but at the same time, there were a few times where I told her that something wasn't going to happen for reasons of functionality. Granted, that doesn't make me an ogre by any means, but the fact remains, you know? But with CC, the way it happened was that I set up a forum for her, and asked her what she wanted. She told me, and I made it happen. She said "Can we do this? What about that? I like this idea, but let's try it like this", and I did the legwork, if you'll pardon the pun. Para is working on something right now that I am going to give the once over with, and may install it. But it's also being made exclusively for SHH.....which brings me to a correction. I said earlier that I want it exclusive to SHH, which isn't entirely true, since I would have no problem setting something up for like CS as well.

As for resources for you, I'm afraid I'm not sure, but a quick Google couldn't hurt. I know with me, I obviously use the backend editor, but I also have a moderate understanding of HTML and some CSS coding.

I said something about it before but I do want to make more designed skins for the site, and I may take on "partners" and such--Think of House's whiteboard team, kinda like that; someone to bounce ideas off of. If that ends up being the case, I'll ping you--provided, of course, you're not banned.
