I love how 5/8 of this thread is pure smiley. No text.

I propose a Bill:
Some sites like Wiki Don't care about their Bandwidth. Therefore, all sites that don't care about Bandwith (Hereafter reffered to as approved sites) May be Hotlinked from. A List will be posted as a community anouncement of approved sites.

I propose a Bill:

The 'Hotlinking Rule' was changed a little while ago from 'no hotlinking ever' to 'hotlink at your own risk'. If you cannot take the extra 15 seconds to upload a picture through a photo sharing website, you need to be absolutely sure that the hotlinked picture doesn't turn into something pornographic. If that happens, you will be banned without any recourse.

So "trusted" sites like wikipedia would be alright?

I can't say (for sure) that anything other than a photo sharing website is alright. Just make sure that the site you choose to copy the picture from doesn't turn to porn and you'll be fine.

Wikipedia isn't the type of site that'll use pornographic dummy images, but don't be surprised if one day they decide to use "Please don't hotlink" dummies. Porn will get you banned, but non-existent and poorly linked images will get you mocked for an entire page worth of replies.

I just right click > save as and upload to tinypic.

Then delete the picture when I'm done.

No risk there!

or you can right click > Copy Image URL and past it on tinypic's URL option and there you go

saves the time of downloading and deleting

I'm trying to find a photo site that I can use without having to save. Every time I save anything on my work computer my boss gets an email.
