Confession is good for the Hype. - - Part 11

I confess that my indecision is my ruin. No lie, I applied for a modeling agency for the hell of it and they actually want me to sign with them. The only problem is that it costs a thousand dollars for professional shots which they will provide at no upfront cost provided I make installments to pay it back. I don't fancy the idea of being in debt to my agency starting out (while they get 20% of each project I do) before I actually make profit.

But then the lingering thought goes...no guts, no glory. This can lead to something.

I read somewhere a legit modeling agency wouldn't take more than 15%. Further if they were REALLY interested in you they would make you pay back the cost for the professional shots after they got you working.

There's a modeling kiosk near my mall for kids. And I see people asking every parent with a child to sign up their kid. It seems like a racket, I'm sure they'd have to pay some sort of money and the child will never have any real work.

Just be sure this place is legit. Do some homework on them.

You're absolutely right. I always kept thinking "Putting me out there is no guarantee I'd actually get work. Worst case scenario, I'm in the damn hole and bound by a contract. I know they aren't a scam because they've been on the local news, but I keep thinking more pessimistic than optimistic.

Tomorrow, I'm going to turn them down. I feel like if this was right, I wouldn't be on the fence about it. Thank you for the help.

Classes start tomorrow. A 25 year old senior and I confess to feeling haggard and worn down. After a lot of drama unfolded in my personal life last year and I unraveled my GPA dropped me down to C-Level. I'm kinda disappointed in myself for slipping as much as I did. (Considering I wanted to go to grad school)

I confess that I've had the Mission: Impossible theme song stuck in my head.

I confess that I have fallen completely in love with Norman Reedus. :hrt: Gorgeous, drop-dead sexy, brilliant actor, wonderfully funny, awesomely nice guy, just an all-around American badass.
Yeah, i know, me and the rest of the world. I can't help it..I've loved him since Boondock Saints. Sean Patrick Flanery ain't half-bad either!:woot:

have you seen Gossip?

I confess that I'm not really so much of a comic book geek as much as I am an X-Men fanboy.

That's fine. I confess I've never really been a company specific fan myself. I prefer Marvel overall but only for certain characters as they're a bit more numerous in Marvel. The rest of the company I really couldn't care less about. I prefer Cyclops over the rest of the X-Men so the rest I can't bring myself to bother reading about. I prefer the off shoots of Wolverines stories (X-23, Daken and Deadpool) more than Wolverine himself as I find him to be boring. As per Deadpool I really preferred him back when it was sort of serious about him trying to be a better person while still being a crazy merc with a mouth instead of just what he is now.

In DC I prefer just a few characters like Animal Man, Huntress and The Question. I find that I'm just too tired of both companies doing the same thing every few months "And now we'll shake things up (but not really) many people will DIE!!! (but not the popular ones, just the few that we can get away with that almost no one knows) and nothing will EVER. BE. THE. SAME!!! (But it totally will be in a few months)

The only company I find is really on the ball with interesting titles is Image. They have Walking Dead, Savage dragon and Invincible, all which I read and enjoy every month.

I confess that, as I grow older, I find comic book movies and most summer blockbusters way less interesting. This year, I went to no midnight screenings and have only really seen one comic book movie in a theater, and it just didn't give me the same excitement or joy I used to get from seeing these kind of movies.

I need to learn to restrain myself from profane shouting at the local apartment complex kids when they climb on my car. But they need to stop sitting on my hood, or other people's, or setting off car alarms on purpose and running away giggling.
Reminds me of the old days when I was in primary school, I sat on a car hood once waiting for my mom to pick me up cause I saw others doing it

I get that feeling from time to time
You could use a nice break, followed by a glorious return

So you are then.

Shu'up. It was early in the morning. I rambled and edited my post a few times without proof reading.

I confess Prometheus was a terrible idea for a prequel to anything.

It might have made some sort of half decent movie on it's own but as it was an Aliens prequel, SHAME!

Prometheus is a movie that I have a hard time with. There are just too many dumb things that happen, and the ending felt like a rip off. But I still kind of enjoyed it.

Boo. Alien is the horror movie of the series and Aliens is the 80's bad ass action movie.

I still like Alien 3. It was the first one I ever saw.
