I try to not roll my eyes when I get out late and an reprimanded for it. We are making $3000 in extra sales but you're worried because I cost the department an extra $9?


I'm no mathematician or businessman but I wouldnt sweat the $9.

My old store manager would do the same thing... Yes, I was 6 minutes late clocking out, but I sold a patio set that costs more than my car. So how bout we call it even?

I had a boss like that. It was a family run business and he wanted us to hurry the **** up because he didn't want us to get too much money. The guy was getting subsidized by the government for at least 40% of the business due to various legal finagling and getting quite a bit more as they were part of an immigrant to hire work plan. They still whined over us getting overtime when we were working 14 hour shifts six days a week.

I admit, my department manager is a very nice lady and is only doing her job making sure I get out on time. On the other hand, complaining about the small amount I cost the department feels ridiculous.


Sales are up around 30% all over the store since the competing grocer (that I was employed with for 8 1/2 years) went out of business in December. We are constantly hiring new people, so I feel that they must still be making money.

I'm surprised Janette McCurdy's "dirty" pictures leaked before Ariana Grande's... You know she has some, and they'll be released right before her new tour/television show/album/whatever.

Dirty pics are not surprising anymore, especially after Vanessa Hudgens. Young women like Jennette and Ariana most likely do have such pics, so agreed.

My sentiment isn't so much that I bet she has them, more so that they'll be released at a very convenient time.

I refuse to believe spiderman 3 wasn't a troll job by Raimi. He probably got tired of all the fanboy crap, and decided to make us pay for our sins. 'Oh, so you want Venom and Sandman?' BAM! I love the first two Sam Raimi films. I certainly appreciate them a lot more with TASM films being such a mess. Andrew Garfield is a great Peter Parker and Emma Stone is great Gwen, but the bigger picture isn't up to par. Sony should just put a price tag on the franchise and sell it to Marvel. I still haven't seen my ideal Spiderman film on screen.

I love the first two Sam Raimi films. I certainly appreciate them a lot more with TASM films being such a mess. Andrew Garfield is a great Peter Parker and Emma Stone is great Gwen, but the bigger picture isn't up to par. Sony should just put a price tag on the franchise and sell it to Marvel. I still haven't seen my ideal Spiderman film on screen.

I agree. I've yet to see a film that does Spidey justice. And you'd think superhero films would learn their lesson about trying to pack 3 or more supervillians into a movie (something SM3 and TASM2 share). Two usually bloats a comic book film enough, but three is a recipe for disaster.

The mousy lookin' girl in SM2 still gives me a strange sexy vibe.

I'm kind of lukewarm on Garfield (but I wasn't a huge fan of Tobey Maguire either). I will say I think the chemistry between Garfield and Stone is a lot stronger than the stilted, slightly off rapport that Dunst had with Maguire. I thought she was a kind of dreadful MJ.

Yeah, Garfield and Stone's chemistry was the driving force of this franchise.

I confess that I'm starting to grow tired of the NBA Playoffs. I like basketball just as much as the next guy, but I hate having to miss other programs or have them interrupted just so my brother can watch basketball.

I graduate college on Saturday and I confess I didn't invite my parents to the ceremony. Instead opting for my close friends.

I never felt really emotionally supported by them. None of that "I'm proud of you."BS ever really felt real. The words felt hollow.

Part of me is glad I'm saving myself the headache while another part wishes things were different between us.
