*looks around*

I confess that my introduction to the classic song "You Send Me" wasn't from the legendary Sam Cooke who is the originator. The first time I heard that song was from Kenny G's greatest hits album with Michael Bolton.

.....

And I still like that song no matter how lame they both are...

But of course nothing tops Sam Cooke's version...except mine...just kidding...or am I?

MAYBE NOT!

That was one of our top 3 choices for a wedding song by Cooke along with Sinatra's The Way You Look Tonight. Johnny Cash's Rose of My Heart won out.

I don't know if I could ever choose someone over Sam Cooke, besides maybe Marvin Gaye, but Johnny Cash is definitely the troof.

I don't know how long I slept last night, but it was probably 2 - 3 hours. Might be in the same range tonight.

Ok.

So.

I've been making some screw-ups at work--one particular thing, mostly, that I've had trouble getting past--and my job might be on the line.

The co-worker I thought I was like BFFs with just included me last night in her continual bipolar rants on Facebook, saying she's never had to work with such stupid people in her life--with a direct reference to the thing I did--and she's making it her life mission to get some of her co-workers fired.

So I'm venting a little here. Yes, I've been screwing up. But does this really need to be splattered all over Facebook, and do you really need to advertise your intentions to get co-workers fired on Facebook?

Imo, Facebook has been one of the worst things that has happened to the internet for the very reason you stated. It's the reason i hardly post/log in on there anymore.

I confess I love the Superhero Movie vs Superhero Movie thread.

Facebook has really made an impact on the internet and I don't think it's for the better either. I don't like how dominate it has become especially given how poor their privacy and security policies are.

She has problems.

You're one of the most intelligent posters on here!

Yeah, Facebook's rep isn't what it used to be.

print it and use it as harassment

I confess one reason I havent just packed a bag and walked out f this house a million times already i I don't trust that my mother wouldnt throw away or otherwise destroy all the stuff I can't fit in a bag.

The relationship my dad's sisters have with his girlfriend is very strange. That is, they like her. After decades of anger, fights and resentment between them and my mother, hearing dad's significant other say they love his sisters is very strange. Mom always said they were the biggest b****** she had ever met.

I'm told that Dad's mother never liked Mom and her daughters followed her lead. Since grandma isn't around anymore, did she not get a chance to poison the relationship with his gf? Why the hell would grown women let themselves be swayed by their mother's opinion anyway? Mom was very different from Dad's sisters and pretty much were designed to not get along, but it's not like the gf has that much in common with them either. Maybe its because she kisses Dad's butt and Mom didnt.

Dad and the gf were just on the phone with one of them and were so happy to hear that she might visit over the summer. After years of animosity between she and Mom, it is odd to have my aunt visit, much less for her to get a warm welcome.

It's so bizarre.

I confess that even though I live alone, I still lock the door when I'm in the bathroom. Weirds me out not to.

I confess that I did something stupid on a game I'm playing, Chrono Trigger. I decided I would start the game and go after the end boss with just one person instead of the three person or even the two person team they wanted. I won though although I used up almost every single healing item I had after beating the game twice before. I had around 30 or so elixirs and megaelixirs saved up and I have one or two left. :(

Twitter is even worse, because it's not entirely clear that people realize everything they post is 100% public....:o

Facebook is what you make of it. I enjoy it because my friends are cool and they post intelligent stuff, not stupid stuff. And I met up with an estranged cousin for dinner today, because I happen to be in her neck of the woods right now. (We live on opposite coasts.) She's estranged from my family because her mother is crazy and she cut off contact. Unfortunately, we are related through said crazy mother, and she hasn't seen me or my family since she was a little kid. She's now in her mid-20s. Facebook is the only way we've been able to contact each other and keep tabs on what's been going on with us, because the adults in our lives have been keeping us apart. :yay:

That's one good part of it but it doesn't negate how arbitrary and inconsistent it is on privacy. The mentality that everything should be shared is still strong there even though they have given in and relented in a few areas.

I'm going to stop now before I start ranting.

I confess that as long as isn't the rumored silver color with a gold bat, I dig the new Batman suit. The short ears as well as it being armored (though I am sure it will be reenforced armor underneath like the comics) is a breath of fresh air. And damn, Batman is gonna be swole as hell.

i confess i like my night job but i still can't grasp in my head that it's ok to sleep til 1-2pm in the afternoon.
