EDIT: I just had a wacky idea. It might be too wacky to go with, but I was thinking about the potential list. What if when we filled in the roster slots for the potentials, we leave one slot open. Then, we have a mini battle for the last spot. People wouldn't have to vote for the strongest or anything like that. It will be based on whatever you like, popularity, strength, whatever. It will be like a battle royale for the final chance to make it into the next season.

You know, now that I'm thinking about it... I'm really wondering if we SHOULD drop Silver Surfer? I know we passed this already, but I think if anyone else had his power set we'd have dropped them like (something that's easily dropped). But I think we're keeping him simply because he's the Silver Surfer. What do you guys think? If anything I think we should move him down to the potential list.

Spider (Exiles) - Even though we have Spidey, this evil version is at least radically different in style and technique. Agreed

Thunderbird (Exiles) - I want less Thunderbirds this season. But, this one should stay. We'll take out the original 616 Thunderbird in place of this one for sure, but I think Neal Sharara is differant enough... but we'll talk about that later

Drop:

Hyperion - This guy went toe to toe with Thanos last season. He's way too powerful for this competition. I actually think you could be right on this.
Sabretooth - We already have a Sabretooth (no doubt), and he's not much different than the original.
Sasquatch - We have a Sasquatch in Alpha Flight section. Is she really much different? Hmm, yeah, I could see them as being too similar. I agree and say we should ditch Heather. I never liked her until she became human again anyhow

On The Fence:

Magik (Exiles) - I do want Magik, just want to make sure we pick the best version.

Potential:

Longshot (Exiles) - I say this is the version to have. It's current with what's happening in Exiles. I'm okay with this, but know that he has no memory of the past, so he won't have any X-Men experience or resources
Power Princess - Again, current with recent events in Exiles. Eh, I don't even like the character
Spider-Man 2099 - Ditto.I'm still leaning more toward the original

To me, I think we learned last season that the Silver Surfer has a basic weakness...his pacivity. That made him loose his last battle, and I really don't see him taking this contest. For me, if you have one Herald, we should have them all. They all have an equal chance of taking it...especially considering some have less regard for a life as the Silver Surfer.

Now, with my vote for Spider-Man 2099, I just want you to know I would like to see Spider, Spider-Man 616 (original, not Other), and Spider-Man 2099 all in it.

I think some of the Surfer's pacivity will be negated since we're using the idea that something catastrophic will happen if they don't win the torunament (or whatever the motivation is we're using for heroes and villains).

I'm also thinking since many Avengers have villians of there own, we might need to check out the Rogues gallery of characters like Captain America and Iron Man.

Hyperion - I still argue too uber. He was my original first pick, before Thanos, Molecule Man, or any other. I knew after reading Exiles that he was waaay too powerful, and I could have taken the whole thing. (And, since JH got him, I'm sure he felt the same way.)

I also feel he could possibly be too powerful, but I still feel that there are some cosmics who are more powerful. I'm wondering if we still need to dwindle them down a bit (Silver Surfer, Jack of Hearts, etc). Hyperion killed an intelligent Hulk with one heat vision blast (decapitated him), and that has me kinda thinking he should be removed. I'm just concerned that there's still some Cosmic level characters stronger and I like my Hyperion

I'd really like to keep Hyperion, but the guy is almost as unbeatable as Thanos. Maybe if Hyperion had some type of exploitable weakness (like Superman to Kryptonite), but I haven't seen where he does. The guy was vaporized and came back from the dead. He had his neck broken and laughed it off.

I think he's probably tuber.

That's not a bad idea, but some of the potentials that we put on there I don't think should be on there (ie Dr. Strange) would probably advance based on popularity, strength, and familiarity.

The thing is I don't think any of the final 4 characters should be allowed since they have already proven they can make it far.
