Im going to see it again today, Im really wanting it to pass the 700 million mark, and Singer can get those tats. I just want this movie to succeed in a good way though.

BoxOffice ‏@BoxOffice now
X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST took in an estimated $1.8M on Friday. Domestic total now stands at $212.39M. #XMEN #DOFP

Surprised so many are still wondering if it'll pass $700 million WW. Yes it will. After this weekend it should be less than $20 million away from doing so.

It will soon domesticly pass the unadjusted gross of X2.It will depend how saturday and suny go to how quickly it will go.

SUnday we will know how the foreign box office Is holding up.According to BOM It's at 673 Million worldwide.

Bryan Singer and Simon Kinberg may have to get those tattoos soon.

Another weekend holding/performing better than X3. Plus the weekdays remain stronger. Next weekend we'll get a small July 4th boost.

It's actually closer to 678. ;)

That opening week and the first drop was what got this movie behind The Last Stand. Fortunately the holds during the weekdays have been better than The Last Stand. DOFP is about 8.5 mil behind TLS.

Noticed that DoFP got moved to the ETX theater at the AMC in Times Square. Gonna see it there tomorrow. Can't wait to experience it with superior sound/picture quality.

I have to go and see it at my local 72ft 'giant screen' digital cinema yet. Contemplating going tomorrow, and perhaps again during the week (as it's near where i work), before it ends its run there on June 26.

Just saw How To Train Your Dragon 2 in the ETX, it was amazing.

I've been thinking this for a while now, but for the next movie, for Fox to get the most out of the 1st week gross, maybe they should release Apocalypse in a Thursday or a Wednesday. Similar to Indiana Jones 4. That could lead to a lower 3-day opening gross, but I believe the 5-day gross or 6-day gross could be higher than the 5-day gross or 6-day gross of DOFP/X3.

I think it's going to be 684 WW after the weekend. It will be a slow crawl to 705 but I think it has a chance. As for X3 and 234 million, I highly doubt it.

I am hoping...... After this weekend it should be at 218-220 million. Which leave 14 million.

Go Days!!!!!

Great numbers so far. And it'll hit $700 million WW. No question

Please keep in mind EVERYONE that this film did not benefit from IMAX. IMAX would have taken in at least 25-30 million WW. With IMAX this film would be pushing 720-730 after this weekend instead of 690. I think it was a mistake by FOX!

Agreed. Epic fail.

And I don't think there was anything Fox could've done. Godzilla and Maleficent probably had the screens locked down before Fox moved the movie up to Memorial Day.

That second week drop from Maleficent hitting it was a few millions in losses

it recovered to normal numbers that past two weeks but that second week still HURTS overall!

Doesn't matter. Godzilla had Imax for 2 weeks, and then it switched to Maleficent. If you are claiming that the lack of Imax was such a big deal, then you are saying the switch to Memorial Day weekend was a bad idea. Since the Imax screens around that time had already been booked. You just can't format the movie into Imax and say "release it". They have to reserve time with Imax. Godzilla's and Maleficent's release dates were probably due to Imax openings.

There's not a damn thing they could have done. Kind of a silly thing to complain about. . .

Well, I bet ya'll FOX will have that IMAX on lock for Apocalypse. Trust me, if they could've had those screenings they would have. There is no doubt this film would be even more incredibly along if they had been a factor. Hell, we could be closing in on $750 or even $800 million at this point.

I don't think FOX has as favorable arrangement with IMAX as other studios as say WB/Par/BV do. If both Alice 2 and Apocalypse keep their dates I'm pretty sure Alice 2 would get those screens.

Can anyone think of the most recent FOX movie that was released in IMAX?

Alice will 100% have those screens.

If that's true, then FOX hasn't had a movie in IMAX for over two years?
