Ya, I was comparing ASM2 and Godzilla also. However, it seems theaters are keeping it. Is it because of the competition it went up against?

No, it's because there's nothing else big coming from now until Transformers (June 27 in US, July 5 in UK), and Godzilla and ASM2 already fizzled out.

Cinemas need some big films to show in that period for different demographics.

A lot of big movies in May are staying for another week cause no major major release is coming out this week. Even ASM2 is still getting a few showtimes in a couple of theaters around me. But DOFP is holding better in general than ASM2 or Godzilla.

I would love it, if Days passes The Last Stand. It should pass X2 this weekend, but trumping The Last Stand would be an added bonus.

Ever since First Class came out and Brett Ratner tweeted a *****ey tweet boasting about how he still has the most successful X-Men film I've wanted his crap film to be taken down. I know that internationally DoFP has won, but taking the domestic market would be so satisfying. Let's keep out fingers crossed in an X formation!

These nos. are outstanding. I think AOA will get a major bump from this one. If Fox plays their cards right, the next one has definite potential to hit the 900 million mark.

I don't know if it could pass X3, but damn if gets really close to it like 230m and it doesn't pass it, I think I'll be a little disappointed.

Hoping for $5 million this weekend which would put it around $216 million. If it can get $800k days next Monday-Thursday it'll go into next weekend with $220 million, making the $230 million mark certain.

So it should pass X2 on Sunday. The only lock is it being the number two X-Men film domestically. I honestly do not see it quite beating X3, it just seems like too much of a stretch to me with Transformers coming out next weekend.
