I really love the casting of Dennis Leary for Captain Stacey. He will surely add grit and a real-life grounded quality without the fluff this franchise needs.

I mean, he was on CNBC yesterday or MSNBC I forget which, and he was like, "yeah I'm working on Spider-Man 4 or whatever it is right now..."

I'm looking forward to seeing Captain Stacy's relationship with Peter. If handled right and fleshed out well, it could be one of the film's highlights.

I thought they did a pretty good job with it on the Spectacular Spider-Man show.

Yeah, that's all he said pretty much in regards to his character and the whole movie. Spent the rest of the interview talking about his new book.

Love the guy but I prefer him with longer hair than the "Spider-Man" haircut, but I understand the image they were going for.

Dennis is one of the rare people his age (early 50s) who just looks cooler with longer hair.

(I couldn't believe he's in his 50s but hey, I guess Irish blood makes you youthful.)

Yeah, unless Stacy is chasing him at first, but then his views on Spidey change over time, which in the end, will culminate with him and Spidey being friends like in the comics.

Hey guys, just thought I would let you know if you join Denis Leary's facebook you can see an interview with him from about a month back. Anyway, he basically says that his character in Spider-man acts as something of a mentor to Spidey.
