We can all dream.... Decraprio would never take this role.
You underestimate the power of fanboys in role deliberation.

If DiCaprio is a long time fan of Batman my guess would be he'd take it.
There are a lot of high profile and respected actors that take small to miniscule roles in movies just to be a part of it. Dent is hardly a cameo and Nolan has made quite a name for himself transforming a comic book into art with substance. DiCaprio could take the role just to work with Nolan.
I dont see how DiCaprio is any more respected in his work than Liam Neeson, Michael Caine, Oldman and Freeman. Their roles would be nothing compared to a two movie main villian like Dent is supposed to be even without including the challenge of the role itself which often adds greatly to acceptability by actors like these.
As for Denzel, no matter how much I like him, Ive never seen him play any character that comes close to Two-Face. The cop/lawyer/authority figure is all ive seen him play. Even when he did "Much Ado About Nothing" he played an authority figure. Though Dent is an authority figure, Two-Face is far from it. So I cant put as much faith in him for the role as some of you seem to. Though, I do concede, he is certainly good looking enough for it.
Pacino is a joke. I dont care if he is the Godfather, as an actor, he is only a name.
What scares me is the way the casting is described from Jett the person I can see getting the role would be Keanu Reeves. The only positive consession I can make on his work is that he has grown incredibly as an actor.
