Totally side-eying that nose ring. Is she over that phase already?

Crap... So I need to watch again? I'm all for her being back as Black Siren. She gets to have so much more fun and that's where Cassidy shines. My fear though is they might dumb down her powers.

ETA: I can't wait for them to kill her again.

2. Trying to take over Laurel's life/redemption

Second option seems more likely. But then they'll have 2 canaries with the same powers. I wonder if they're going to give Dinah Drake the shaft? Maybe now we can finally have a legitimate GA/Canary ship.

Maybe the flashback sequences in season 6 would be E2 Laurel's, about the death of E2 Oliver and how she became bad. That would be interesting.

TBH as thrilled as I am about Katie coming back, please don't get rid of Dinah. Please. We've gone through enough Canaries. It would be just disturbing to kill off another one. Like, no joke, I'd just roll my eyes and facepalm. It's tiresome at this point. Besides, Juliana Harkavy has been awesome this season and deserves far better than getting shafted after half a season. (Cassidy got shafted too, but at least she had four seasons to her name before that happened). Putting her with Lance would be an...interesting...interpretation of Dinah Drake being Dinah Lance's mother in the comics...especially since Lance was already married to a Dinah. But hey. Just don't kill her off.

That's what I'm thinking. This is weird. That just so happen to find another woman with the exact same powers and wait, her name is Dinah Drake. Then they go and make Black Siren a series regular? I think we all assumed they were going to have Black Siren be redeemed and take Laurels place but then they brought in Dinah Drake. I'm confused.

Maybe they'll ship Dinah Drake off to one of the other Arrowverse shows. Supergirl's Earth doesn't have a Black Canary, nor do Jay Garrick's or Jesse Quick's. She could go to Legends of Tomorrow, Flash, Supergirl, or maybe even Black Lightning if it goes to series. Or Vixen/Constantine/Freedom Fighters: the Ray on CW Seed.

I was never bothered that they killed her off and this just seems like a cop out to appease those that have ranted about it ever since. If they were gonna bring Siren in I'd rather it was as a heel instead of for some nonsensical redemption arc. Ideally though I'd have put her on the next LoT team.

-Write her into scenarios that make a big chunk of the audience dislike her (and continue to do so into Season 3 even).

-Bring back Sara and give her a far more compelling backstory, and write her into situations that make a big chunk of the audience like her.

-Kill off Sara in service of a nonsensical "whodunit" plot, ticking off lots of fans and that didn't help Laurel at all.

-Finally make her BC, which they claimed was always the plan. But then once she actually WAS BC, be inconsistent with her abilities and then not really focus on her much.

-Bring Sara back, then ship her off to another show.

-Killed Laurel off in one of the most insulting ways possible. And all for the sake of a lame "who is it" storyline and because one of the writers wanted to use a
new Black Canary."

-Tease like your fixing your mistake and bringing her back, for the sake of a cheap cliffhanger. And the jerk that away from the audience to (which ticked them off even more).

-Now bring her back, but it's not really her. It's her evil AU counterpart.

-Etc.

But this will be interesting to see what they do with DD. Having 2 characters with the same power? This show is messy but will it overlook that?
