The Dark Knight Does anyone have any concerns about the movie....

You're making it out like if the psychosis was brought on by something other then his skin being stained white then it's a farce...

What about his mental state being cause be the disfiguring scars on his face?

The scars are not huge, fixable. Reversable. Especially when at least half of them are self inflicted.

I think a bit of what makes the Joker the Joker IS how ridiculous his predicment is. He was ****ing bleached! Thats hilarious. Again, its the dark humor that the Joker is so well known for.

But It shouldn't be his appearence that makes him a freak..

also I was under the impression that he only inflicted part of the scar himself

His apperance is apart of what makes him a freak. Again, if you can strip him down and make him look normal - a bit of his horror is gone.

I really don't like that idea though.. I even thought it was stupid in Batman 89...

I'm more partial to his look being cause by his mental state then his mental state being cause by his look... I guess it works either way but I really don't like the bleaching idea...

Eh, I guess it's time to agree to disagree. We obviously aren't going to change your mind, but it'll be amusing to try. :woot:

Em lets see... nolans joker... white face... permawhite joker.. white face...

non scarred two face... normal person... scarred two face.. a freak like two face..

Oh yeah I can see the smiliarities

i didnt elaborate...its like having twoface paint his 'bad half' on.

thanks for being an ass tho...

Wow just like Batman? Dressing up. Because I don't think he is geneticaly really a bat-man. They are theatrical. To me the freak in them is why they do what they do. I know lots of freaks in real life. And they don't need white skin to be freaks.

But just look at your avy. This debate has raged on about how much James Bond is screwed up because Craig is blonde hair and blue eyes. But now most everyone loves this change. This is a big deal to hard core Bond fans.

Things change. And I think for the better.

BTW...is this Stormin...or Jimmy lol. Or are you guys the same guy.....mysterious you are.

Change is not always good though.

he looks like a freak to me, permawhite or running makeup.

don't really have any concerns personally. my main concern is the amount of mainstream fans itll pull in. that's gonna suck with all these kids wearin joker shirts. but other than that, no concerns :hoboj:

Have to agree. I don't care how much of a nerdy fanboy I sound like when I say this but, I hate when mainstream people start acting like they know about one of your fav characters. Just about all the info they spout out is wrong and it gets under your nerves and makes you want to correct complete strangers sometimes. :cmad:

I guess the only other concern I have is Dent not getting fleshed out enough to the point that when he becomes Two Face you don't feel anything for him. I fear that it will happen to soon in relation to how long we get to know him beforehand.

Haha yeah I am an ass... but its only because I really disagree with what you said...

It's actually going to be a bit annyoing if joker really is permawhite because then we'll have two villians who were created from chemical inncidents...

Batman is never suppose to be a mystery though. Bruce knows exactly who he is, what is past is, why he do the voodoo that he doo-doo so well. If you want to play the mysterious Joker card, itsdifferent.

To compare the hair colour of an actor to what makes the character, THE character is ridiculous. James Bond is suppose to be a human, a brit. The black hair was tradition, but never important to the character.

My love and relation to Jimmy goes as far as our display and our mutual joy of a few choice activities. Our style of posting is however....quite different.

Of course not. But I think in Nolan's hands. It is good change. Just as most things with Moore or Miller. The changes they bring about, usually good.

And I for one, am jacked to see this new incarnation of the Joker. Just as Loeb said.

I am not arguing for an acid bath. I am just asking for him to be permawhite.

Hell, I dont care if he bleached himself. Really don't. The ends justifies the means to me.

Haha yeah I am an ass... but its only because I really disagree with what you said...

Which is why nobody will respect your opinion if you behave like that. Play nice.

Treat people the way you would like to be treated. From one Irish man to another, trust me on that ;)

Would you mind if he wasn't perma white but we never actually saw him sans make up in the film?

another concern...katie holmes is hot....but maggie....i cant make up my mind whether shes hot or not....sometimes she is, sometimes shes ugly, sometimes shes average.

To me it is as ridiculous as the Joker not being Permawhite. Not much of a big deal. But some with Bond make it out to be the biggest deal. Same with skin color as much as hair and eyes. Bond is as iconic as Joker, and aesticaly it is a huge change from what Bond was.

Just as now Joker is visually different. I think we might want to watch the movie before saying what makes the Joker crazy. Cuz in my opinion his insanity has nothing to do with bleached skin.

But besides that I really gotta get back to my BR. Later Hype.

I just get frustrated with people claiming all these problems which IMO aren't problems at all.. the dialogue being the worst of them.. I'm very good at letting people annoy me to the point where I'll just take it out on one person

Haha I'm in the same boat... She can be hot.. Like the dinner scene with harvey but then at times she aint like the Party

If there is enough wiggleroom to make it possible that his face is permawhite from costume stain or whatever I am good.

yep...when i first heard she was playing rachel i looked her up on yahoo images and thought i was looking at Gollum....then another pic looks like katie in ways. the others shes smokin...maybe shes a ....

form-changing succubus

I hope you're right. Seeing as how he's not permawhite, they better explain WHY he puts on "war paint."

to be honest, if he does turn out to be permawhite, im gnna hate it more because of how silly it is to have flesh colored makeup then clown makeup.
