I want to clarify, this is not a sarcastic joke. I know it seems that way, what with the nature of this site and all, but I mean it. I like comics and Star Trek and whatnot and I have no ill will towards anyone who likes them too. But I was with the crowd of people outside the funeral service for the victims if the Boston Marathon bombings to act as a human shield around the families if the Westboro Baptist Church showed up, and in this solemn moment there was a group of pudgy kids in logo tees talking about how "excited" they were and laughing at each other's Doctor Who references.

When we get out of hand it's pretty horrible.

I find it ironic how last week I was talking about how I hate lending my mom money, and now she came home complaining because she lent her sister a few hundred bucks a few months ago and she still hasn't been paid back.

But I hate how, since my dog has been hurt, I haven't been able to go out during the day because I don't want her to be left alone where she might do something to hurt herself again. Since I can't go out, I haven't been able to buy anything to eat, so I've starving for the past week. I can only go out when my mom comes home, but even then, I can't trust her because as soon as our dog yelps, she starts crying instead of doing what needs to be done to make sure the dog doesn't get hurt again.

How old is it, and how hard do you run it?

The mister has the newest Macbook Pro, but it started to act funny when he started playing Starcraft on it. It would randomly go to sleep. Even with the SSD, the fan would start blasting every time he played it. My older Macbook doesn't even blast when I'm working with multiple Adobe programs. Although I've never worked with video on it, but I watched someone edit video on a Macbook Air and it worked fine.

Macs do a lot of things well, but gaming is decidedly NOT one of them. He bought a desktop PC for Litecoin mining and I told him to play Starcraft on that, and it's been working a lot better.

My previous laptop started to randomly go to sleep after 5 years of use...it still had a bit of life in it, but I needed a faster computer so I donated it to my school. But before then, I needed it to KEEP WORKING so I used Disk Utility to verify and repair the HD. It helped, although it was only a temporary solution because the hard drive was not in the best shape. Computers that randomly go to sleep means that the hard drive is starting to fail. Definitely start backing up your stuff now.

When we get out of hand it's pretty horrible.

Not everyone deals with things the same way. I commend you and them for volunteering your time to be a human shield, but don't get all high and mighty about other people not treating it as some sort of solemn duty.

Yeah, I need to start doing that. I just expected there to be sugar because I saw that we had a lot a few days, but my mom used it all during the week and didn't bother to say anything or leave any indication that there was no more sugar.
