I was helping a customer out with her groceries the other day, not talking but she also wasn't talking to me, and out of nowhere she says "are you mad or are you always this mean?".

Taken a little aback, I told her I was fine, and she kind of disbelievingly shook her head and said "not a very happy camper, I guess".

Yes, thank you for psychoanalyzing me because I'm not a chatterbox.

Like I said I would've been like "Yeah, I'm always this mean, take your own ****ing groceries.":o

This is why my husband works from home, so he doesn't have to encounter crap like this. :oldrazz: He's very quiet and doesn't offer small talk, so it wouldn't surprise me if he's gotten this before.

I also think more women tend to notice aloofness than guys, and you actually get more crap if you're a quiet woman than if you're a quiet man. I just find it easier by being self-deprecating and cracking jokes and having easy laughs whenever I go. Plus trying to act serious takes too much brainpower for me, but YMMV for that.

I hate it that people expect you to be sociable and talkative and if you aren't either they give a look like you're weird or something.

I mind my own business, I don't like making eye contact if I don't know you just go the other way, don't expect me to break the ice and start up saying random stupid conversation pieces.

As I teenage I used to serve ice cream at a restaurant called Friendly's . One time a woman walked up and said " If this place is called Friendly's how come you look so sullen and depressed? " I had nothing to respond with . I felt like saying because I have to deal with idiots all day.

I'm not very talkative either. Right now I work at a job where customers expect you to kiss their ass. I'm pleasant , but not overly friendly and hate when people expect a long conversation at work . I got things to do.

I remember Friendly's! :awesome:

I don't remember anyone who worked there, but those Reese's pieces clown sundaes were MY LIFE as a kid!

That was the only good thing about closing shift. I'd make myself a sundae or fribble. I was actually able to make the sundaes look like the picture and got good tips as well. I could go for one right about now. :woot:

lol, yeah but Jump was really such a mega hit for them that any other success paled in comparison. And "Miss the Bus" was kinda whack even for the early '90s. The only reason kids (me included) liked it was because it was fun to sing while waiting for the bus.

I hate people that have the combination of being an attention ****e and wanting everybody to like them. This guy spends his entire time giving EVERYBODY compliments in very public ways. We can all see right through him and it's just annoying as hell.

I agree with this one thousand percent. I have friends who think I'm a monstrous cave troll because I didn't want to go talk to a bunch of people that were having a party at the pool in my apartment complex. I didn't know them, I didn't want to know them. They were having a party and I had **** to do. Personally, I find people who are super outgoing and strike up conversations with every person they come across to be embarrassing.

I'm the same way as well.
A few months ago I had to serve jury duty and the courthouse isn't exactly a place to hang out that almost everybody there had their noses in their smartphones.

I hate the insane prices of the concession stands inside movie theaters! :down:mad:
Dude tell me about, comic conventions also have ridiculous prices, one small bottle 16 oz. of Pepsi was $3.75

I hate how disrespectful people can be at the movie theater. There was this couple in the theater while I was watching Iron Man 3 earlier tonight, & the lady just relaxes & put her stinky bare feet on the headrest of one of the seats. I mean seriously, one thing is to relax, but that's going overboard!!!! :down
The nerve of her, did you at least offer her a foot massage? :woot:

I hate people who post annoying crap on their facebook, and leave sarcastic remarks like "thanks for this info" on a post of yours that actually contains semi-relevant information. Like I was forcing them to read it or something.

Exactly I'm not boasting but I think I'm pretty easy to get along with at work but because I have to part of the job, it doens't mean after work I'll hang out with my co-workers and have a beer I got my own life aside from work.

I hate that I have no real outlet for my anger when I'm having a bad day.

I like finding a nice violent online video game, preferably an FPS, and blowing **** up.

I've been criticized for being an introvert. I'm told that I need to be more social and outgoing. And the very people who tell me this stare down at their phones all day.

I hate how dirty my apartment is getting. It's like a trash bomb went off. Not only did it messy up my place, but it appears to have sapped any an all "get-up-and-go" required to clean it.

I'm a fairly big introvert and I recently read this article, it's meant to be taken seriously but also has some smart ass humor in it. Basically, it told me what I finally realized over the years about why a lot of people that I don't even know are rude to me.

To a lot of people, not talking to them makes you come off as arrogant, as if they're not worth talking to.

Personally, I think it's ignorant to jump the gun and think like that but in my experience, introverts tend to get **** on a lot in our society.

Yeah I'm an introverted woman, which is extra weird, but I think people think of me as harmless because I smile so much. I just come off as shy, instead of arrogant. My husband rarely smiles, so I think he comes off more aloof and arrogant than I do. :oldrazz:

It's weird, but whenever I come across Arrogant people, they always seem to be rather talkative.....talkative about how awesome they are.....I think people don't know what arrogance means when they say quiet folk are acting arrogant.

When he says it to every single person in the room loud enough for everyone to hear, he deserves to. :o

The gym man, I know it sounds a bit cheesy but running/working out is by far the best stress reliever I've found

That's my problem, I need to smile more often. My sisters nicknamed me the frowner growing up. I've been like that for so long that I kind of have a semi permanent frown, even when I'm in a fairly good mood. I need to remember to smile a litle when talking to people.
