I hate the misprints that are in TWO of my Marvel trades. And the fact that they seem to ignore every form of contact I try to get Marvel to fix them.

I hate how in most jobs these days personality is valued more than hard work.

"these days"? What fantasy world do you live in, where once upon a time people in charge didn't favor the employees they got along with better?

And before anyone says anything, the book How to Win Friends and Influence People came out in 1936, and even then people knew you needed to talk to people the right way to get ahead. Hard work alone will only get you so far. It sucks, but there you go.

I hate standing in line at a place like McDonald's where they'll have two registers opened right next to each, and how there is always that one person who stands in between both lines making it seem as though there is only one line.

I hate that endorse is shutting down ugh

Even Pixar hires people by personality. You work in very close teams at Pixar - if you can't work with people in the closeness that they function at, you're can't work there. Even if you're the most genius computer programmer who's ever lived. People just don't work in silos anymore.

And yeah, in this job economy....employers can very much afford to hire for culture fit. We had an opening at work in our tiny lab, and dozens of very qualified people applied. DOZENS. EXTREMELY QUALIFIED, ON PAPER. What else are we supposed to hire for, if so many are qualified? Random lottery? Financial desperation? :funny: Although to be fair, I think the one who was friendly, qualified, had good references, AND needed the job most, pulled at my boss's heartstrings. :funny:

I've been passed up for more promotions than I can count simply because the manager doesn't like me for whatever reason.

I absolutely hate any cruelty to animals, therefore I loathe road kill and absolutely detest drivers who kill animals while driving. Especially animals not even on the road but on the curb! How the hell does a car even get to that side of the road on some of these streets? Drivers just not paying attention? Their licenses should be revoked. 'Nuff said. especially angry since I just saw a dog for the first time. something has got to happen about all of this.

Um, you do realize that most of these animals get hit because they run out on the road. Driver doesn't have the chance to do much in those cases, and the animal can just get flung to the side.

Also, if the animal has been severely hit and suffering, some people will run into them to just end their pain.

I drive along a canyon road in the middle of the night to get to work, and I've hit a couple of small animals before. One of them really was flung off to the side of the road in the impact. I almost hit a deer the other night when it moseyed onto the road, but I managed to swerve and miss it. The speed limit on that road is like 50mph, too. Any animal on that road that doesn't get hit by anyone is lucky.

Deer are horrible to run into, for cars. If people could avoid a deer, they would do it. But they often jump into the middle of the road quite suddenly.

Anyone who purposely drives into a deer (or a moose, for that matter) has a death wish.

i could never purposely hit an animal and i've always done everything humanly possible to avoid hitting them. i've had deer run in front of me quite a few times as well as other various animals.

The only animal I've ever hit was a bird the decided to swoop down in front of my car.

I can excuse some cases. But, others? Sorry but no. Some of these roads are straight with a HUGE shoulder. And I can just not fathom somebody not catching it on time. I've known nobody who has and I never have. And over summers for weeks I drove 8 hours straight a day for delivery services and never once ran into any obstacles. Some situations okay, but some of these seriously do not look that way rather from people speeding or drunk driving.

Some here may have tried to avoid it and I'll believe that. It's when reckless driving leads to these things that get to me. I've seen people driving on the shoulder for no apparent reason other than to talk to someone or check something. These situations is where it does really get to me.

True story: I was riding shotgun in my step-brother's car one morning and we were going the opposite direction of two low-flying birds. Then one bird smacked the other with its wing, forcing the second bird to collide with my brother's windshield. We were convinced it was premeditated.

Actually from the sounds of it, he said one bird killed the other. sounds possible, after all birds are dinosaurs.

Oh, lol, misread it. Thought it was bird murderER. Sorry, my mistake.
