Why is that anytime a non-human character speaks with anything other than a British or American accent it causes controversy? I'm not picking a fight, I'm genuinely curious what the problem is with alien characters speaking with non-western accents.

With DBZ, I hate the mind-numbing dialogue that drags on and on, the art style, the characters, the story...everything. I do like the original Dragonball cartoon, though.

In a way you're right since I'm actually re-watching the series 3 episodes a day with it's Japanese subtitles and some of the English dialogue is hilariously awful.

With Star Wars prequels, I hate how they totally removed the mystique behind Darth Vader. They made him adorable, then they made him a vulnerable and sensitive teen heartthrob, and then a sympathetic victim. I hate Jar-Jar, and the whole ethnic aspect that was ascribed to certain characters. The whole trilogy just felt like a huge ad campaign to sell tons of merchandise.

When it comes to the prequels they are indeed awful that I can't bare to watch my DVD's, I didn't notice any of the ethnic steretyped voices to me it was just an excuse for politically incorrect lobbyists to pick a target.

Fair enough. My point still stands though, if there's a cowboy/alien character with all those classic American traits, it's not a problem. Or a rich suspiciously British crime lord. Personally I think there's a double standard going on.

Did we watch the same prequels? Because Anakin Skywalker kept coming off as an emotionally unstable sociopath who was only on the right side of the law because he was indoctrinated by the Jedi. Pretty much nothing about him was sympathetic or sensitive. Killing the Jedi children was supposed to be this huge shock in the third movie, but he killed a bunch of kids in the previous movie while he was still "a good guy."

Cosmic, you need to go onto youtube and watch DBZ abridged.

Kevan, DBZ Abridged is for fans of DBZ who are capable of laughing at it, not people who hate it.

Wow, seriously? It seems like the kind of thing you'd need to have more than a little familiarity with to appreciate, and most of the people who like DBZ Abridged are huge fans of the original show.

That's because the stuff they put in the machines is pure, concentrated syrup that has to be mixed with carbonated soda-water in order to make it drinkable. That's why there's a colored stream for the flavor and a clear stream for the water. Some soda fountains are just less balanced than others, and the drinks come out too watery.

Or they run out of, or low on, syrup. So it has a harder time pumping, or just runs out.

I've been getting a soda, and suddenly it's just the soda water because the syrup is used up.

Nope. I have class M-F and then Saturday and Sunday are "workshops" which are basically classes. It's definitely the boot camp equivalent of film school.
