I'm with ya. I've gotten further networking, getting referrals from growing my network, and even cold-calling (or in my case, cold-emailing) rather than submitting job applications.

As far as I'm concerned, job applications are for chumps.

I mean, I suppose you know what you're getting when you apply for a full-time job, but I feel like I'll never measure up to what they're looking for because it's a career change for me. Though, I am doing work in my new industry that I LOVE to do, and it's way better than sitting around hoping that someone will take you. It would be nice to get paid regularly for it soon though.

Unable to bend or rotate much due to back pain and muscle spasms. Inability to use my right arm or hand, mini seizures even when on my medications, can't lift more then 5 pounds, hip problems if I stand for longer then 15 minutes at a time, or sit for longer then 20.

It's responsible for civilization. Without people gossiping and being overly dramatic we wouldn't have society. It's true of a lot of higher-intelligence social animals too. Monkeys are documented to do so for instance.

Yeah, that truly sucks CC. I also hate whenever you get a dvd or blu ray in the mail & the disc sounds loose inside even before you open it. I also hate that since I started getting into the whole steelbook thing, a lot of the good titles with exquisite artworks are only available overseas.
