Duncan Jones' Warcraft - Part 2

I actually liked two of those clips. Patton looks ridiculous and wasn't feeling the combat. I liked the bit with the "gonna help you up, not" moment. Reminds me I have to catch up on Vikings.

It really shows how the marketing failed the movie.

Yea, these four clips made me more excited than all the trailers. It showed that the film is actually about something rather than being some bland action flick with magic. I loved that scene where Durotan and Orgrim are talking, the little things like Ogrim throwing a pebble at Durotan, them talking about why they actually need humans... and Durotan's huge hands when he rubs his chin. :woot: To me it feels like the film has heart and is made by passionate people.

I cannot wait to see it. I hope it gets good reviews and WOM and makes enough money so we can expect more films like this. I still think it will be a very good film.

Those clips were really good. Especially the Ogrim and Duratan scene. God the marketing has failed this film.

really impressed by those clips it has alot more humor than i thought

Yeah, those are some good clips. Gotta love the orc literally squashing the soldier to the ground with his hammer, it's hilarious. Erm, in a... sort of tragic way, of course.

I like that this film captures me more by character interaction, than action. And I like action in this. It's not a shaky-cam, covered in dust and smoke mess. Every blow counts. Magic is nice, characters are likeable.

I will be really sad if this film bombs. Feels like it's made with heart and passion, with respect to the source.

Yea, I really like the physicality of the orcs, smashing humans with huge weapons, throwing horses around.

And I think Durotan and Orgrim look great, CGI, voices, acting, really excited to see them on the big screen.

Never played the game and not seen the clips, but with Duncan Jones as director I always felt at the very least it would turn out to be a pretty good movie.

I also have never played the game.
Right now, it seems likely it could be an okay film.
I hope it is more than that.
We shall see.

Does anyone have a working link to those clips?

Wow. Only thing people are pointing towards as actual good marketing that could get people more interested and the company takes it down? Lol. Are they actively trying to sabotage themselves here?

Here's the Durotan + Orgrim scene:

One of the most clueless marketing campaigns of recent...

I think the movie may actually turn out to be really good but like a lot of you have mentioned it's being undone by scatter shot marketing.

Their main push is in theaters it seems through attaching the trailer to literally every film currently playing. That isn't enough and the structuring of the presentation has been lackluster at best.

And the trailer is not a good thing for this movie.

Clips don't seem too bad either IMHO. But yeah, the trailers have not been edited well at all.
