I wasn't there. But given the amount of cosplayers, I doubt they're critics. Not all of them, for sure.
So critics and general public?
Oh I know. But if it was a premiere, usually you have a mix of general audiences/fan and critics. This wasn't a fan screening or a critics screening.I wasn't there. But given the amount of cosplayers, I doubt they're critics. Not all of them, for sure.
There are some American reviews up.
The Wrap and Variety's reviews are negative while The Hollywood Reporter's review is positive.
the wrap review seems overly hyperbolic and scathing he said he would rather watch super mario brothers movie and compared to to battlefield earth but not as fun lol
the other negative was much more level headed

Variety's review as also full of crap. He complained that he couldn't understand what the Orcs were saying, and yet they sound fine in the trailers. What a liar.
It is hyperbolic though often, I tend to agree with him. Not all the time though.
The problem is..I'm trying to be optimistic about the film but often, when I feel 'meh' about a movie early on, I tend to be right. I'm not bragging or anything.
Maybe it's a sixth sense or my intuition, but usually my gut feeling tends to come true all too often. Just from the trailers, clips, posters, etc.
screw the critics what do they know
Well, both Variety and The Wrap didn't convince me the film is a dud. Hyperbolic and dismissive. Hollywood Reporter review looks more level-headed. It doesn't praise the **** out of the film, but fairly describes ups and downs of the film and what to expect.
With little concern for all those already perplexed at the mention of orcs and mages, “Warcraft” plunges headfirst into a fantasy realm teeming with mythical creatures, magical spells and exotically named characters and locations. It’s a take-it-or-leave-it approach likely to have most audience members opting for the latter, though devotees of the immersive role-playing source material may have an entirely different experience. If so, Universal will have to hope they storm the box office early and often. Otherwise the studio could be looking at one of the biggest duds of the summer.
