Little Darth loved that movie, and had a big crush on Daisy. I watched it again recently, and I couldn't hate it. Just too much nostalgia. The Mario movie is an abomination. Even as a child I knew that it was trash.

Yeah. Lol9 year old SPIDEY was already totally over such crap.![]()
Yeah. Lol
The funny thing is the cast wasn't bad but the movie is inexplicably starring Luigi and I think John Leguizamo was miscast anyway.
I use to fight to not have to play Luigi in the early 90's. No offense, I like Luigi in the American version of SMB 2 (AKA, reskinned Doki Doki Panic) and I even dug Luigi's Mansion but Luigi was always The Supremes to Mario's Diana Ross. How did they allow him to lead a Mario Brothers movie? It defies logic.

Since Duncan Jones has said that like 40 minutes was apparently cut out of this film, I wonder if an extended cut would help solve (or at least smooth out) some of it's issues. I mean one of the films biggest issues, if not it's biggest issue period, is it's pacing/not immersing you in this world properly if you're not already a Warcraft fan. Also a lack of development/fleshing out of certain characters (especially on the human side).
So maybe the longer cut would make that work better. Hopefully we get an extended cut on Blu-ray eventually.
Is it true that Warcraft needs to make 500m to break even???
lothar felt like he was in a different movie since he was the only human with personality lol
This is what The Numbers says:
Warcraft was pushed into second place with $42.0 million in 57 markets for totals of $339.0 million internationally and $372.3 million worldwide. The film's biggest market is China, where it added $24.34 million over the weekend for a 13-day total of $205.37 million. That was still enough for first place in that market, but it was also 63% lower than its opening weekend there. Its biggest new market of the weekend was Mexico, where it managed second place with $2.68 million. It also opened in second place in Australia with $2.50 million on 430 screens. The film won't last much longer in China and might earn more in China than the rest of the world combined. Since studios only get about 25% of the Chinese box office, the film might not break even any time soon.
