Episode 09 - "Homecoming" - Discussion Thread

What if Peter absorbs Ted's radioactive powers and was the one who blew up? Now that he saved Clare, he can use her regenerative powers to harness Ted's radioactive powers.

Mr. Bennett must have helped these people out of really bad situations to get them to be so willing to do his dirty work... if you remember Eden said she used to be addicted to drugs and HRG reminded her of where she came from before he helped her in the last ep.

We don't know how long he has those powers.

Pretty good episode, Eden was looking pretty hot at the end. Liked Claire embraced her standing as a freak, both her and Peter seemed to grow a lot in this episode. I think Nathan is gonna end up being corrupted by his power. Things with Jessica/Nikki/DL are really heating up. I really want to know more about HRG's organization though, wonder if HRG will bring Claire into the fold.

Did anyone else think Eden was gonna waive her hand at Sylar when she said "You don't want to hurt me". Very Jedi like.

so, if hiro, when back 6 mouths ago, was he now, not there with Ando that day, or for that matter not with him for the last 6 mouths, or was there like 2 of him co-existing in different timelines, and why does only Ando remember him being there, and not the waitress, (this time travel stuff is such a mind ****) so, if he was in the past for the past 6 mouths, why did he leave a week before she died, and why hasn't he returned yet. is it because, he discovers that by stopping her death he creates a time rift, or something, and he doesn’t return to the present, cause he's already changed the past, to the point that if he appears there now, he would be messing with the events that are taking place.

 my head hurts

Hiro didn't know that women until he saw her and then she died. When she died he went back in time, alone knowing what would happen to her. He went back 6 months. It really isn't that confusing (no offense lol)

His organization is probably a branch of the CIA, FBI, Department of the Interior, or most likely a co-op between all three. The Department of the Interior has investigating and verifying claims of the paranormal as one of their lesser known functions. Maybe Mr. Bennet's group is the black ops equivalent of that.

what does that have to do with anything I said, I know he went back to save her, and for some reason when back 6 mouths (maybe on accident or maybe not) I was questioning what happened to the present timeline, why only Ando remebers, and why hiro ended up not saving her
and i was mostly joking about the whole mind **** and head hurting

What do you mean "only Ando remembers." It's not like everyone else forgot anything. Obviously, the waitress Ando talked to wasn't there when Hiro was.

ya, but she said, that hiro pop out of her life like a week ago(therefore he was in her life for like 5 in half mouth, before he poped out, and other people who were there would of probably seen him or know him, from that time he spend with her) so, what happened there, (was that last scene, that day, or the next day,) either way, if hiro spend the last 6 mouths in the past, wouldn't ando, remeber him being missing for that time (like in the first episode, when he went in to the future ando said, that hiro has been missing for that time)
does he have to leave to start the events that got him there (what is the shows timeline, how long has it been since the first episode, in terms of the events in the show)
but the main question still is, why did she still die, what heppened....
never mind (we'll find out what we find out next week)

^^^^Right, think of it this way. For the next 6months there are two Hiros, one in Texas and one in Japan. When it gets to the point where the first Hiro time travels, that will fix the number of Hiros thus there will be only on ein existence. Kinda like Back to the Future.

As for him leaving, something must have happened to make him dissappear.

Kinda dissapointed Sean Bean didnt end up being Sylar.

So Sylar is...
Zachary Quinto AKA Adam Kaufman of "24"
Not a bad choice, But I really wanted Sean to be Sylar. Oh...well...at least we Have a confirmed Time Lord.

i wander what that tombstone is all about?
It says "sister".
It's obvious that the other person in Niki's body is her sister, and she was the one with the powers, and Niki has none.

Maybe one of Sylar's powers is facial reconstruction and he uses that power to escape from Bennet, by making himself look like Sean Bean.

Okay, I give up, it's not Sean Bean. Still though, would've been cool.

Gotta say, the way Sylar tore that Cheerleader up was pretty damn gruesome and cool. So Claire's friend is gay? Wow, did not see that coming. It always seemed like he had a hard on for her. Maybe it turns out he's just bi.

man the episode really made me wanting more. i love that whole coming out being proud of who you are message during the Claire and Zach moment. "embrace the freak" that should be HEROES next bumper sicker slogan lol

and Jessica being actually Niki's sister? wtf? super stength does seem to be Jessicas powers, but maybe Niki's power is that she's able to cling on to peoples minds? cause how else would Jessica's powers/personality merge into hers?

This was a good episode. I liked Peter's and Claire's first meeting with one another, and Peter going out of his way to save her. As well as the Sylar confrontation. Looking forward to next week.
