EVERYTHING Black Panther - Part 4

My thing with John Boyega is that he still looks like he can be in high school. I know him and and I are around the same age, but he still looks too young to me for BP or at least the vision I have for BP. It'll depend how much he ages.

But as Paradox said. When you put your life on the line age doesnt really matter. I just think Chadwick Boseman and Aldis Hodge are the way to go for an origin story

I like the idea of a young King with the weight of his country on his shoulders. To me, it adds to the drama.

Boyega is definitely a great choice. He was awesome in attack the block. I also think we should see the young black panther.

Vibranium is about to become an even bigger macguffin than it already is, so BP will definitely be integrated soon.

I don't follow this logic. They can pretty easily include tons of Vibranium without dealing with the origin.

They'll want to though. Just shut up and follow my logic. :cmad:

Since boyega expressed interest in Nova why not let him be Sam Alexander, thats clearly the nova marvel seems to be pushing as a teen hero. I think that'd be a good fit. Especially since I want Boseman for Panther lol

What was the deal with the Nova Corps not being the Nova Corps?

My only Bugga boo about Guardians.

Not gonna lie. If they do do a younger Nova, I want the kid from IM3. I thought that kid was really funny. Buddy Cop movie. Richard Rider/the kid from Iron Man 3. Cop and a Half: Nova Corp/

When you put your life on the line to protect others I don't think age matters.

Great point let's cast a six year old as BP, his age doesn't matter. What matters is that he's putting his life on the line.

Oh and it's an origin story so he should be young.

I haven't read any Nova comics really, but I've heard two things: 1.) Only the Centurions get powers, Xandar doesn't have Centurions, and/or 2.) the Nova Corps could use the Orb (read: the Power Stone) to make themselves more powerful.

Don't know if either of those are true or make sense.

John Boyega as Sam Alexander would make me actually care about a Nova movie. I think that guy is awesome and I will watch him in anything.

...except I still don't want him as Black Panther. Chadwick Boseman! Chadwick Boseman! Chadwick Boseman!

John Boyega looks too young. He could pass for a high school student. No thanks, I don't want a hs student looking guy as BP.

Boyega is a kickass actor, but he fits a young teenager-early 20s character like Cyborg. Hell the guy that they got for Cyborg looks a lot older than Boyega. Boyega just looks like a kid. Depending on the story they want to tell though, Boyega could be appropriate, if they're going for an origin story.

Chiwetel works if they're telling the origin in flashbacks.

Chadwick Boseman seems like the perfect age for it.

1) Why wouldn't the base of operations of the supreme commander of the Nova Corps not have Centurions? and 2) That's what I figure they'll do. You know, after Thanos kills damn near everybody on that planet and takes it for Avengers 3. I mean, now that it's there they're pretty much dead.

Their are different ranks of the Nova Corps. The ones in the film are Corpsman, the lowest rank in terms of power. They don't have the force or can have a small portion of it. Most of them are right out of the Academy.

Yeah, I know how the Nova Corps work. Corpsmen being the lowest official rank have about 25% of the Nova Force. The fact that their homeworld doesn't have any powered Nova's guarding it seems like something too stupid to be intentional. So I'm just gonna assume that the MCU's Nova Corps is nothing like the comics as of yet. Cuz it makes no sense otherwise.

Maybe the events of GotG force them give someone the power to protect them.

Saw Get on Up earlier, Boseman is a sensation. His screen presence and acting were great.

I think "as of yet" can be a key word. It wasn't really a good fit for the movie. I do like the idea of them using the Power Stone to power the Xandarian Worldmind, though. That would make some sense (although there's a bit of an unease I have with anyone using the Orb). BTW, the ones in the film weren't entirely Corpsmen, they also had Denarian Garthan Saal.

Although this is the Black Panther thread, is it not? :p

"WHO!?"

What if an Infinity Stone shows up in BP? The source of Vibranium's vibraniumness?

Which one, cause Space, Power and Reality have already showed up. So all that's left is the Time, Soul, and Mind gems or stones. I'm not sure what argument their is to be made for one of them to be the source of Vibranium or make it.

I guess one of them could be attached to the chunk of Vibranium that crashed in Wakanda and BP and the Wakandians have it.

Not bad choice if they were doing Marvel's verson of the Legion of Superheroes but they not

That's a good point. What if the Soul Gem is what T'Challa uses to commune with his ancestors?
