I almost got teary eyed when they showed Brian driving a Supra at the end.
Brian killed Tran at the end of the first film, and the Yakuza (or more specifically Takashi, the former DK) have no reason to beef with Torretto or his crew.
Yeah, the cement stomp-grenade helicopter drop were the only 'bridge catch' jump the shark moment.
I hope Kurt Russell has an even bigger part in F8. He was a great addition. You could tell he was enjoying himself here.
I'd like to pretend the cement stop was all in Doms mind and he just happened to do that at the exact time the bridge collapsed. The lucky grenade toss seemed more believable than some of the miracles that occurred.
The moment for me was Fast or Furious 6 when Dom caught Letty mid air and landed on a car across the bridge. I realized they didn't care anymore.
Actually I remember seeing Fast Five in the theatre and in the first couple minutes they flip the bus Dom is in over five times as part of the escape plan. I shouted "oh my god , they killed him". Im usually quiet during movies , but that just took me by surprise.
The part was originally for Denzel Washington . He was promised a larger role in the sequel, but of course he turned it down. So I can see Russel getting more screen time possibly.
Point break is exactly why Keanu has to be the next addition.
An example of where Brian came from and Keanu being beaten down and alone and possibly corrupt, an example of what Dom saved Brain from.

And people say that Michael Bay is over the top.oh man I just looked up the tank chase scene from one of the previous films where Vin saves Michelle.
I had no idea the series had gone that ridiculous!
I thought I would get choked up at the last tribute for him like others mentioned but I surprisingly didn't. I just admired the effort they put into it, I really enjoyed it.
I can't imagine how tough it was for Vin to film that last scene though, or to watch it in it's finished form.
