Sequels "Gambit" starring Channing Tatum? - Part 4

He doesn't read this? Then maybe I can openly say he would suck in the Gambit role. :funny:

Yeah you can say it openly, he doesn’t care what you think. He might suck at playing Gambit, but it looks like we’ll never find out.

He’s been doing some southern roles lately and he’s good, but I don’t think it’s just a culture/dialect thing. There’s a different charm to gambit

Maybe he could take his ideas for gambit for a heist action comedy featuring a Cajun man with another studio? Like Netflix took umbrella academy which feels so much like X-men, maybe he could do a new action hero that feels a lot like gambit

I mean nothing out there is 100% original. If you watch “super” you’ll realize Deadpool wasn’t groundbreaking

Deadpool is one of the most groundbreaking CBM ever made.

But if you watch "Super" it feels less so. The protagonist is on a revenge mission to get back his girl, the film is full of foul language and violence, his suit is red and he uses guns.

Eh, I wouldn't call it groundbreaking. Take out the 4th wall breaking jokes and it's your standard origin movie. Enjoyable but not groundbreaking.

Anyway, it will be a long time before Marvel makes any solo mutant movies. I think Feige will try a different approach with the X-men than Fox did, which is focus more on the team than just a few members every time. They may not even use Magneto in the first movie just so they can explore other villains, similar to what they are doing with Spider-man. No way they are bringing in Wolverine the first movie either.

Not to mention that no other studio in hollywood would have done movies for Antman, Doctor Strange, Guardians, Panther or Captain Marvel.

Feige made all that happen.
In other words Marvel's Phase III, which is exactly what won me over.

Fox was already moving in that direction with Deadpool, Gambit, X-23 and Multiple Man.

yes, but all of them totally far from each other, so basically missing the key factor: the unity between characters, the connection. It would have been all over the place, an adult Colossus, young x-men on present day "by the face", Gambit not even a X-Men, Multiple man who knows, he probably wouldnt ever meet the x-men either....
basically a huge mess of a universe.

And yet only one of them actually got their own movie. Talk is cheap until something actually happens.

They were finally branching out with New Mutants but clearly something didn’t work as there hasn’t been an official peep from the studio since the teaser was released.

Gambit was the only problem getting started, but X-23 and MM was coming, they was in the script phase.

You really think MM was still in heavy development after the allegations for James Franco came out?

And they would likely ignore each other leading to more inconsistencies and continuity errors, and pat themselves at the back for "being different". Thank God Disney is putting a stop to this madness.

I don't think they was going to ignore each other. Eventually we would have gotten a movie based on the comic book Deadpool versus Gambit.

The two Deadpool films ignored all the other X-Men films, unless you count Deadpool making fun of Origins: Wolverine.

How do you know? I mean that story was fun but it's not like it's a classic story or anything. It started off strong but became a total joke in the last few issues. I really really really hope they throw Gambit in a team movie. I don't want to see a mr. and mrs. X movie either. I hate that version of Gambit.

The only reason that would've happened with this studio and with this cast and with those actors would be because Reynolds wants to work with Tatum. Not because of some overwhelming desire of the filmmakers to see Deadpool interact with Gambit. Anyways that ship has sailed. That train has left the station. This bird has left the nest. The horse is out of the barn.

It’s quite obvious you didn’t see either Deadpool movie. If you did, maybe you need to rewatch them.

who's Deadpool you guys are talking about?
Im confused. is he from that Suicide squad movie? I dont remember that character. so he got a spinoff? interesting, seems I missed it

No suprise there, Fant4stic was co written by Kinberg. Kevin Smith was right, in Hollywood, you fail upwards.

Channing Tatum should let everyone go to hell and make a new action hero based loosely on Gambit. Southern accent and everything. Maybe Netflix? Hulu? Hulu's made some pretty cool stuff with Future Man for example.

Like I’ve said earlier, Gambit has a better chance with Disney
