Last weeks episode was the first one this season I was really dissapointed with, this weeks one made up for that, great episode, we finally got some Robb Stark, although the lack of Jon Snow was a bit dissapointing, however, the conflict between Stannis and Renly made up for that this week, it was very interesting and the fallout next week should be interesting.

I thought Dany's scene's this episode were pretty good as well. And I really, REALLY want Littlefinger and especially Joffrey to die horrible deaths.

Episode 8 is supposedly titled "A man without Honour." Im liking the sound of that.

i love natalie dormer but she looks to mature to play 16! why couldnt they find a 18 to 20 yr old to do the role and the nude scenes?

You do realize all the of the characters have been aged up?

Jon is not 14 at the start of the series but at least 17 or 18, dany is at least 16, robb, arya, sansa etc. The adults were all aged up as well Sean bean was not playing someone in their mid 30's.

Also not to harp on this again but anyone else not feeling the new mountain? He was way too lean and didn't have the presence of the last guy.

Ps. I think Joffrey Dahmer is the most fitting nickname i've stumbled upon for the prince.

He still has united the people in a way that Stannis could not. And why isn't Joffrey's claim valid? Because he lacks Robert's blood? Robert acknowledged him as his heir in his dying breaths. The king appointed him as his heir, blood or not that makes his claim a hell of a lot more valid than any of the others.
Yeah its all very Edward The Confessor :cwink:

the vag was coming out in this episode... by season 4, I expect this series to have moved on to full penetration with all the money shots one would expect.

good epi. Would like to get a little more movement forward with the plot, as the pace is killing me a little. But I know it will pay off in the end.

That's episode 7, 8 is "The Prince of Winterfell". The last episode is titled "Valar Morghulis". :woot:

Dinklage surely will get nominated again, and perhaps Maisie, that'd be great.

Great ! Don't have to wait as long for some more Kingslayer action!

Can someone give me summary about the "smoke baby" who looked like an adulte to me ( his legs at least ).
I thought the Woman in red was a "good" priest since she worship the god of Light but this birth doesn't look good at all.

Good is relative. Her first priority is always Stannis becoming what he is suppossed to be. Everyone else better not interfere. That's all I can say without spoiling things.

Spoil ahead ( with spoiler tag ), I don't mind.
Also, is this Stannis baby since we saw him copulated with the priest ?

Tyrion and Bronn = the dynamic duo of GOT

I want a spinoff of just the two of them. :o:up:

They would be knights and go around fighting crime with their own version of the law...each ep would end with them in a ****e house.

While I know they're following the book, I don't get why they don't just kill Joffrey, lock Cersei in a tower, and put his nice, dumb little brother on the throne.

This made me laugh. :woot:
Should be in spoiler quotes

Here's the deal with the shadow baby
Yes, it's a likeness to Stannis. She needs his life "essence" as it's descibed in the book to make those shadow babies. (In the book there's two released fairly close in time to each other.) As you'll find in this story magic has a cost. It takes it's toll on both Stannis and Melisandre. I won't tell you what it does because that will be revealed in the next episode but don't get used to it staying around.

But by Darth's logic, there is never a lawful rebellion. Therefore Stannis has no more right to the throne than Robert did. And if there is a lawful rebellion (because the people do not support the king), then Renly is just as justified as Robert was.
I was just using Balon as an example of how no one can really claim the throne by such logic.
[blackout]Jon dies? :([/blackout]
As for Robert's rebellion, what makes it any more valid than Renly's? Robert did not like what the Mad King was doing. The people did not like what the Mad King was doing. The people rallied behind Robert. He overthrew the Mad King. If that is "valid," then so is Renly's claim. If the people do not support Stannis, then Renly (with Targaryen blood) is just as justified in overthrowing Stannis, right?

I don't know why but when I read the blacked out bit I busted out laughing. Musta forgot you didnt read them.

One rebellion is as valid as another as long as the people and the smaller houses bend the knee.

My I point out that Winter Is Coming and it's the guy who can feed a whole continent for a whole frozen generation by securing trade links with The Summer Isles, Dorn, and all the other kingdoms in warmer climes.

Is anyone here buying the game when it comes out ?

[blackout]Jon dies? :([/blackout]

It's not clear that he died. And I would put money on him not being "dead" dead. Listen to what Bran says about the stories Old Nan used tell him about in the third episode this season for a clue about what I think happened to him.

Thanks.
Another question, do we know why she gives birth to them and their purpose and what does Stannis feel about it ?

She believes herself to b good, but does some pretty dark things to achieve her ends (see scene with maester in first episode).

The "smoke baby" is a shadow conceived from when she and Stannis broke his map table. I won't say more about its purpose than that.

The People don't support Renly really either. In fact, it's not the People that matter at all. They almost don't care who rules. The nobles on the other hand... they are divided. The Southerners are largely concerned with King's Landing and thus support the Lannisters, until you to get to the Vale and the Trident and you've got the Aryns and the Tullys who are allied with the King in the North. Renly doesn't have the strength of Robb as far as I could tell. He's mostly just got Highgarden.

Stannis would have King's Landing if it was acknowledged that all the "Baratheon" children are in fact bastards of incest.

But it is tagged.

To be fair, Robert acknowledged Joffrey as his heir under false information.

Regarding Melisandre's shadow babies... I got the impression from ACOK and ASOS that Stannis is basically not really aware of them, or under a delusion about them. Moreover, he never seemed to be full cognizant of his relationship with Melisandre. Like he is actually under a spell, because his honor really wouldn't allow him to willingly commit adultery with her.
