awsome joffrey is the biggest wus ever! "i cant defend my kingdom because mommy wants me"lol tyrion has more balls and guts then any of them even the hound bailed.forgot all about tywin he is a boss!

Tyrion's a boss too, runs in the family.

damn kings guard.....damn turncoat.

Stannis was the greatest, charging with no helm, climbing up the ladder first. Alpha of all the alphas.

This episode definitely did not disappoint in the violence department.

It started off kinda tame with the arrows, then the Hound stepped in...

That may have been the best hour of tv I've ever watched...

That was a pretty great episode. I'm still a bit miffed they left out the chain (the final stroke of Tyrion's brilliance) and Sansa being forced to sing a song for the Hound. However, that's minor nitpicking. The episode worked amazingly well. Tyrion's very no-BS "St. Crispin's Day" speech, the sudden betrayal of the Kingsguard and especially the explosion were all great. Glad to see Sansa finally stand up and start showing she can take careful charge this episode.

It does show, the story work better when they limit to a few subplots (Tyrion, Joffrey and co. at the battlements, Sansa, Shae and Cersei in the Red Keep, Davos and his son) it flows much easier. I hope they keep that in mind for next season.

The chain was not necessary because they literally blew up the bay. As to the Sansa/Hound scene. GRRM wrote the episode so....

This was an example of this shows greatness and how it surpasses anything else offered on tv. It also helped tonight that this episode was directed by Neil Marshall. It was oozing cinematic quality.

It was directed by Neil Marshall... :o

On the SanSan front. I think there was a clear effort from everyone involved to make it less creepy considering what happens next season.

Oh. I liked how they did that scene. No time for frightened maidens singing. I wanna see bloodshed!

I loved it. But I also think there is a reason certain things were omitted and not just simply time.

Stannis Baratheon: "**** helmets and shields." I'd like to imagine he yelled that before charging the gates. What a boss.

Also, The Hound's line, "If any man dies with a clean sword, I'll rape his corpse" made me cream.
You know it was written by Martin when you have lines like that.

Lol, that line got a laugh out of me.:woot:

Oh and the guy getting hit in the head with a rock.:wow: His head popped like a watermelon.

tyrions is my favorite he shows he can play the social game and the miltary game he gets that from tywin.i have to give stannis his due too he showed he was a bad ass leading the assault.joffrey on the other hand wow what a wimp the imp had more stones.do you think next week wont be that good and blackwater should have been the final?

That was one hell of an episode. The pig **** scene was awesome.

Wish Cersei would shut up though. I'd much rather face Stannis' army then be stuck in a cellar listening to her drunken whining.

Oh and Stannis is a badass.

Awesome episode. Stannis is a boss. First into the boat, first onto shore, first up the ladder, has to be dragged back kicking and screaming.

If anyone recalls, in the second episode, Melisandre whispered to Davos' son "Fire is the purest form of death." A foreshadow of what you saw tonight.

And if you're wondering about Loras Tyrell, [blackout]he was wearing Renly's armor/[/blackout]

next weeks previews dont look that good after this epic episode. i guess greyjoy wont get his until next season.they will probably end with dany just like last season.

Davos:"I've never known bells to mean surrender, they wanna play music with us then let's play,....drums".

Just awesome.
