Two More for S3: Ramon Tikaram, Dan Hildebrand Join Cast

Game of Thrones set fans abuzz with the news from yesterday that Ciarán Hinds had joined the cast as Mance Rayder, the King-beyond-the-Wall. Now, we can confirm two additional names for the cast, these two focused on the region of Slaver’s Bay where Daenerys Targaryen’s story will be taking place next season. So, without further ado…

Dan Hildebrand (Sons of Anarchy, Deadwood) has been cast as Kraznys—Kraznys mo Nakloz in the novels—a wealthy slaver of the Ghiscari city of Astapor who specializes in producing the “Unsullied”, the famously disciplined eunuch-soldiers who are impervious to pain thanks to a potion they drink that deadens their nerves. Astapor and the other Ghiscari slaver cities of Yunkai and Meereen will play a significant role in the series, and it’s great to hear of our first slaver character cast. In the novels, the slavers have quite a distinct appearance: amber skin and red-black hair that they style in elaborate fashions, and the habit of wearing fringed garments called tokars (basically togas). Kraznys is also rather fat, in the books. So, different appearance here, as Hildebrand

The other we can announce is that of Ramon Tikaram as Prendahl (in the novels, Prendahl na Ghezn), captain of a notorious company of sellswords in Essos. In the novel, that company is called the Stormcrows, and will be an obstacle to the khaleesi‘s progress through the season. As you might guess from the name, Prendahl is supposed to be a Ghiscari as well.

It's interesting about the ethnicity of the Ghiscari, they look so weird that it's going to be hard to nail down a particular race to compare to use as a basis for casting.

Anyone see Steve Love's Game Of Thrones impressions on Youtube?

He does Ned Stark, Robert Baratheon, Jon Snow, Varys, Littlefinger, Pycelle, Ser Davos, Ser Jorah Mormont.

Looking forward to Nathalie Emmanuel from Misfits and Hollyoaks joining Game Of Thrones.

cant say that i am happy that

ICE the coolest sword ever will be melted down and turned into a sword for Geoffrey and Breanne. a little s**t i loathe and a big ugly chick and to make it worse they are going to be all gaudy gold and jewels

A little late to the game, but I love the choice for Mance Rayder. Completely out of left field.

Has the Red Viper been cast yet?

Not as of yet.
It does raise the question of whether or not he'll be in season three. I mean, he was featured fairly heavily in Tyrion's storyline but it wouldn't surprise me if the producers moved him to season four.

Yeah it's possible they could go both directions, introduced him in like one episode early in part one and then not making an appearance until part 2 going by the likely indicator of how the first part will end or just pushed back for the whole shebang of his role in the second part.

The combination of beauty, cuteness and straight up hotness they find is ridiculous. Robb, Jon, Tyrion, and Stannis are lucky, lucky men.

Daario might just be the worst character ever written. He is going to make Dany's scenes unbearable.

At least she'll be doing something other than being a horrible dragon owner. For a while at least.

I think its best If they at least give him some involvement this season, just to help set up the hatred of House Lannister and the explanation of Elia, so that when he does suddenly have his moment it doesn't feel forced.

Plus we know that
RW
happens this season so I wonder if they perhaps show the "other" famous wedding as a final episode?

Something far worse then being a horrible dragon owner. I can't even read that stuff again. Skip it every time. Even in audio book form.
