But I didn't get that from watching the show. I'm only watching the show and I've never seen Ramsay or anyone. Just this awesome dude who's helping out Theon!

Yeah, I mean think about. He traded ALL of his slaves. Meaning his entire slave army for one Dragon. His entire Army of Slaves who, once ownership is passed will do whatever the new owner says, and therefore from now on will no longer be bound to defend their former owner. For a Dragon who, unlike his former massive army of slaves pretty much has a mind of his own. Now, what do you think is gonna happen?

I mean I kinda picked up on that but with this show you never really know what will and won't happen.

We got two lovely pieces of silent comedy shenanigans this episode (EP1: Edmure is an idiot. EP2: Chairs). Makes me a little sad GoT can't do gimmick episodes, 'cause I'd love to see just 50 minutes of the characters doing wacky stuff with no dialogue for scene after scene.

Yeah but those watching the show, do they even know the name "Ramsay"? Should they know that that guy is Ramsay and he's playing with Theon? I don't get that vibe from these scenes, even though something is off about them.

One telling thing, the guy who saved him said "Winter is Coming" which is a Northerner saying. No northerner would help Theon. If he was really an iron born or an ally he most likely wouldn't be a northerner and wouldnt be dropping northerner sayings. This guy is playing Theon and Theon is so desperate he can't see it.

I have no knowledge of the books. I had to spoil myself heavily to know that the guy was Ramsay ( who has a devious mind ) and to understand the meaning of the sentence "damn you bastard" spoken by the man full of arrows in the last episode.

While I know the formatting for it would look ridiculously bad, I think it would be safer if we used the spoiler tags rather than the blackout tags when discussing spoilers. I don't know if this happened for others but even though the part I snipped out was hidden under a blackout tag, the words

were for some bizarre reason still visible except in green text against the black background. Even without my highlighting it. Not sure what happened there. Fortunately, I know most of what's happened in the books. But for those trying to avoid spoilers... whoops!!

It's a little bit past the middle. The book is 924 pages without appendices, and it happens around page 575.

This season is a bit of books 3 and 5. Next season will be a bit of 3, 4,&5. The writers have stated they are just adapting the whole story and letting things naturally progress so this season isn't half of Storm of Swords. It is more like chunks of it. We can no longer think of each season being an adaption of a single book or part of a book. They are grabbing from the whole tapestry now.

I am not a reader of these books myself, but I felt the non-reader viewer was supposed to not know who the archer is, and then find out later.
