lol

Tywin: "Your grandson is gay."
Olenna: "Yes, well, your son and daughter have three kids together. You really wanna go there?"

Petyr went full-on psycho this week.

What Melisandre said to Arya... [blackout]was she just acknowledging that she knows that Arya plans to kill Cersei, Joffrey, Ilyn Payne, etc. or was she prophesizing that she'd be (at least partly) successful?[/blackout]

I think Melisandre sees [blackout]that Arya is going to kill people in the future. [/blackout]

I think Melisandre sees [blackout]that Arya is going to kill a lot of people in the future.[/blackout]

God, I hope so. I'd love to see that little pipsqueak **** people's **** up. :funny:

Looks like next week we'll finally get to see that [blackout]bear[/blackout].

"I would've hoped you'd learned your lesson about overplaying your.......position" :D

It's the saddest time, the longest wait in between episodes. :(

By the way, did Aryanna really meet the red priestess in the book like that, because I sure don't remember it. (But my memory stinks anyhow...)

No. Melisandre didn't need to find Gendry in the books. She had another bastard (who won't likely show up in the show) closer at hand. I'm a little hazy about where Gendry ends up in the books, though. Can someone remind me?

Depending on how far they get into Stannis' storyline this season, I'm pretty sure Gendry is going to fulfill Edric Storm's role since he meets the same qualifications Mel spoke of.

^^^ That's what I'm thinking, too.

I think part of it has to do with all the different identities Arya has taken on. It's a bigger element in the books. In the show she's pretty much been Arya and Arry (I don't remember if she gave Tywin a different name). At this point in the books there have been a few others. Like, one for what the guards at Winterfell called her (Arya Underfoot), one Sansa's friend called her (Arya Horseface), one she went by when first at Harrenhal (Weasel), and one she used later at Harrenhal (Nymeria or Nan for short). Later in the books [blackout]there's a whole element of taking on different identities and learning to change her appearance.[/blackout]

This actually may be the closest the show has come to foreshadowing something that hasn't yet happened in the books. Or not. We don't know because it hasn't happened/not happened in the books yet. Haha.

joffrey sick boy! ramsay sick boy but I like theon getting his!

I love that Theon's arc for the season is essentially turning out to be...

1. Get tortured
2. Escape torture
3. Wind up back at the start
4. Never-ending torture for Theon

:funny:

I was on the edge of my seat when Arya got all up in Mel's face. With this series' habit of introducing new characters every other day, it was so novel to see one of them (besides Littlefinger) travel from one thread to another.

And speaking of Arya, seeing her with the bow reminded me that she's southpaw while Maisie Williams isn't. I wonder if they flipped the film or if she switched hands like she does with the sword.

One thing I don't get is that Tywin and the Lannisters are willing to bend and outright break every single rule. Why doesn't he just end that stupid policy that the royal guard can't marry / possess land / titles?

Who is going to challenge him on that?

It's not so stupid when you consider the fact that the Kingsguard have to be completely loyal to their king. I mean, how easy would it be for some wannabe usurper to just threaten a member of the Kingsguard's family and force him into helping him kill the ruling monarch? If they have no immediate family then their loyalties would lie with the king and no one else.

Tywin Lannister isn't stupid enough to open that door and threaten his legacy.

Anyone else wish Jon's red head had fallen? I cant stand her

quick question, but was Ramsey the hornblower in season 2 episode 10 that caused Theon to get so pissed off?

Well, they do have to keep him occupied for a really long time... :p

I'd laugh if it was. Because Theon got so annoyed by it in that season :hehe: Looks like Theon's arc came full circle.

Are the Frey women that ugly?
It looks like everyone treats marrying one of those women as a death sentance.

Once again Tywin and the queen of thornes bought the awesome.

Joffery and Ramsay are sick little freaks.

"If you think this has a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention".

The scene where Meera and Osha were arguing and it woke sleeping Hodor who said "uh, Hordor" made me laugh :)

Roose Bolton and his subtle hand jokes and digs was great.

Okay so I haven't watched the Climb yet and has now actually skipped to watching the Preview to "The Bear and the Maiden Fair" episode. So does it look to me that the writers are going to combine Gendry and the other bastard Baratheon son Edric Storm?

Yeah that seems to be the general consensus on where they're taking the character.

Can't Robb marry 2 girls or is that against the law? I loved the scene with Edmure and in the end, it was so emotional.
