I will agree that there's is zero chance of a teaser at Comic-Con, but I can't stand when people say that they've only been shooting for 2 months is one of the reasons. Guardians of the Galaxy had been filming for 2 WEEKS and came to SDCC with a full length trailer. I think they could put a full length trailer together if they wanted to, but they won't.

Yes and Super 8 had a trailer 5 months before shooting. And TDKR was shooting for a few months and had a teaser. But Disney still won't do it. But 90% of the time they don't do that Especially since one of the mains (Harrison) has been out of commission during a lot of it. Also why they won't do it with SW is because visuals are very very important to it. And they won't want to show off unfinished footage like they did with GOTG. Or like they did with Spider-Man 3 during SDCC 2006.

I'm not getting my hopes up for anything due to the fact people do and then we get nothing and people get angry as if they were owed something. We really don't know if we will get anything at SDCC, it was just a rumor from March. I'm hoping we do, but I'm not going to put my full faith in it that we will.

Anyone expecting more than a title reveal is setting themselves up for disappointment. There won't be any footage revealed for a movie that is 1 year 5 months from release. At most, Abrams might do a little video to the fans like he did recently. A short piece of him standing on set thanking the fans for the support blah blah blah then he reveals the title. Anything more than that however is never going to happen.

Luke, Leia, and Han Solo-leg will be introducing the title, in costume announcing the title. :D

I'd rather they dont do something like that again to be honest. If they dont want to show any footage, i'd rather they just tease us with any details, not JJ saying nothing again lol.

Harrison Ford walks on stage trips falls off the stage and breaks his other leg. *Awkward Silence*

J.J. - "****"
I was thinking more of a video, where another piece of set falls on Ford. :cwink:

I can live without knowing the title.......or a plot synopsis.

I just want to know if Daisy is playing the Solo daughter........and that she is a badass Jedi..........with a blue or purple lightsaber.........and awesome Force powers.

...........too specific?? :oldrazz:

From John Boyega's instagram... I kinda' question the visual acuity of anyone who says they don't see a mixture of Han and Leia in Daisy. Just look at that smirk.

I think of this

But I also think of this for Daisy's pose in particular! :oldrazz:

Kirk and Spock were lovers, along with Tails and Sonic.

I really hope this Boyega kid can act. From still pictures he doesn't seem to have a whole lot of "presence."

He was amazing in Attack the Block. He has presence. Like I said in another thread Nina Gold and JJ are some of the best with casting, it's probably JJ's greatest attribute. I remember when the new Trek was announced in 2007 people spit and screamed about the cast, especially Chris Pine. Now people realize why he went with him. They spent over a year looking for individuals, I'll trust their judgement. But Boyega is an amazing actor.

He doesn't, he's a big guy but that's about it, he had a part in the new season of 24 and didn't make any mark.

Hmm still have not seen the new 24 yet.

Yes, he was American in 24.

Of course. I haven't seen this season of 24 but it was only a matter of time. He is after all British.

Daisy will play American soon if she does more American movies.

STAR WARS EPISODE VII PRODUCTION UPDATE

At the end of last year Lucasfilm and Disney invited all young aspiring actors to attend an open casting call for roles in J.J Abrams’ Star Wars Episode VII. The casting calls spanned 11 cities across the US and UK and over 37,000 hopefuls attended, with a further 30,000 submitting applications online.

Having hunted high and low for young and undiscovered talent, the filmmakers are delighted to announce that two actors from the open call call have been cast.

Crystal Clarke is an American actress studying in Glasgow, UK, who has both stage and screen acting experience and is soon to be seen in her first feature, The Moon and the Sun (to be released in 2015). British actor Pip Andersen is a skilled practitioner of parkour, a discipline that involves propelling oneself through any given environment with incredible grace and agility. Pip recently demonstrated this remarkable skill in a Spider-Man ad for Sony.

“The Star Wars universe has always been about discovering and nurturing young talent and in casting Episode VII we wanted to remain absolutely faithful to this tradition. We are delighted that so many travelled to see us at the open casting calls and that we have been able to make Crystal and Pip a part of the film,” said producer and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy.

Meanwhile, principal photography continues at Pinewood Studios in London after wrapping on location in Abu Dhabi in May.

In August, the team will take a brief two-week hiatus while adjustments to the current production schedule are made as actor Harrison Ford recovers from a leg injury. Harrison is doing well and is looking forward to returning to the set soon. Shooting remains on track to wrap in the fall with the film scheduled for release on December 18, 2015.

Wow! That came out of the blue!

Hmm some parkour, wonder if we are getting some kind of agile alien species. Or just some really Force sensitive types.

And ya, this debunks all the 6 month delay stuff.
