Have you read GR's and 'Blackouts' supposed 'showdown' in the script? It sounds worse than ANY of the action scene's in the first movie.

Still, things could have been changes from what was written up to the point of the film being shot.

The action scenes in the first one barely qualified as action scenes. They would have to actually TRY to make them awful for them to suck worse. I am not expecting some huge epic battle especially with a lesser budget but I am sure it will be just fine. It is hard to gauge really since I am just going by what the directors have put on screen in the past...we need to see a trailer for this thing ASAP...I still have no idea why we haven't seen any footage yet.

Thats what i'm hoping, because what I read sounded no better than what we got in the first movie.

Wasnt overly impressed with the action in Crank 1 & 2 or Gamer to be honest, it was nothing groundbreaking in my eyes and as I said the action scene's in the script for this didnt sound any improvement over the first movie.

Crank directors >>>>>>>> Comic useless crap.

Lets hope so, non of their action scene's so far have 'wowed' me.

Groundbreaking? Lol. If you want groundbreaking then yeah look elsewhere...Neveldine and Taylor aren't Spielberg or Cameron. They are all about intensity...which is something the last Ghost Rider lacked badly. If you aren't a fan of their directing style then yeah don't know why you would expect that to all of a sudden change here.

The boy is Danny Ketch.

And Blackout can't prevent Blaze from becoming Ghost Rider, but he can use his decay powers to force Zarathos back inside Blaze.

I don't really see the difference and I don't want to see Johnny Blaze fight Blackout, I wanna see Ghost Rider fight Blackout.

I think the biggest problem with original's "fight" scenes was the fact that they all felt like Tom & Jerry confrontations. Each opponent would wait for the other to do something to them in turns.

The action scenes should be more much more organic and more visceral than that. As for the final confrontation, sadly I also think it will come down to JB vs Blackout :(

You dont have to be Spielberg or Cameron to do some groundbreaking action scenes, before LOTR and KK Peter Jackson wasnt known for his action scene's yet both had plenty which were superb, Raimi wasnt known for action before the Spiderman movies yet the action in Spiderman 2 especially was amazing. Hell, the end action scene in District 9 by a first time director was as good as any recent action scene and that movie cost $30 million and had a lot of special effects. I could cite many more examples but I think I have made my point that you dont have to be Spielberg or Cameron to do a great action scene.

Same here, that was the problem with the final fight in the first movie.

I really hope they can do something great with this film. The first outing was unfortunate, since I believe that Ghost Rider has so much more potential than that.

Even if this bombs, which it probably will, don't count old flamehead out.
Heck, if the Punisher can get three lackluster films made out of his story then something should be workable with this.
I just hope it folds and Sony writes him off as a useless endeavor and lets the rights revert back to Marvel Studios, then we could get some great storylines involving Ghost Rider, Doctor Strange and Nightmare!

No you missed the point. I didn't say you had to be Spielberg or Cameron to do great action. Just had a problem with the word groundbreaking. Neveldine and Taylor make a specific kind of film...they aren't setting their sights on the Oscars or anything which I think they are very self aware about. They set out to make a roller coaster thrill ride adrenaline experience. Ghost Rider is very well suited to the style they have. You obviously weren't a fan of their previous efforts so once again not expecting or understanding why you hope now to like something from them.

Oh wow.
He literally pisses fire.
Sounds like it might be a good Grindhouse film, but another failure at a Ghost Rider film.

I wonder what Ghost Rider is gonna do with that car after he yanks it back with his chain, man I love violent displays of super strength.

Honestly the displays of super strength are going to make me squeak like a little fanboy regardless of how grumpy I am about this whole sordid affair.

Awesome read. Let's hope they have at least one of those crazy GR scenes in the reveal trailer (And hopefully more).

I'm not expecting Oscars from many action movies, heck I like the Transformers films. And though i'm not a fan of their previous movies, I am a Ghost Rider fan, hence I will be seeing this movie, but nothing i've heard so far has gotten me looking forward to this, it doesnt even sound faithful to the comics.

"30 Minutes & Less" has been screened for some critics and in some areas. Any word on GR2 trailer from those screenings (If it is attached)?
