It was awkward silence at my theatreBut the 3D was really, really bad so maybe that had something to do with it. It totally ruined that money shot of Ghost Rider whipping the guy in the air only to slam him back down. I also think they should have gone with trailer 2 instead, I liked that one more.

Haha perfect. Now we just need the friends explaining what the first movie was to go away, and this thing will have a chance at the B.O.More like lots of people curious about the movie who have never heard of Ghost Rider and then one of their friends explaining the 1st movie to them. I would not say it was a 'bad' whisper.
Never seen a film in 3D, don't plan on starting now. They're expensive enough as is without the damn glasses, plus my eyes are already shot as it is.
... with all the kindness in my heart, I say **** You, kind sir!
Seriously, even I'd see a 3D flick for 2 bucks. Hell, I'd see a lot of movies for that price. Normal films cost $12.50 if I'm lucky. Don't even ask about Manhattan.
If there is a 3D option, I usually opt for it. I want the best visual experience possible when I go to the movies. The last awesome 3D movie I saw was probably Transformers 3 in IMAX 3D. That was SO worth it.
apparently he kills tons of people with fire, which doesn't up the rating to R.
When it's done right, I think both have their merits!Killing tons of people with fire >>>>> shooting and slicing

...there are many glaring plotholes.
So... Consensus, story is bland, action is awesome, CG is good, 3D sux, but a lot more fun and a better film than the original
I'm sold
That's all I was expecting from this film and that's fine by me. It would be nice to actually have a damn good script but I'm not going to see a movie about a skeleton on fire riding a motorcycle just for the story.
Will it be successful? Thats the real question. if it makes 160 mil and over it'll get another sequel for sure.
