Ghost Rider 2 In The Works - Part 3

Was it a good whispering lol or bad?
It was awkward silence at my theatre :( But the 3D was really, really bad so maybe that had something to do with it. It totally ruined that money shot of Ghost Rider whipping the guy in the air only to slam him back down. I also think they should have gone with trailer 2 instead, I liked that one more.

Oh man that sux. I liked trailer 1 for what it was; more of a teaser. Trailer definitely kicks more @$$ :D

More like lots of people curious about the movie who have never heard of Ghost Rider and then one of their friends explaining the 1st movie to them. I would not say it was a 'bad' whisper.

Haha perfect. Now we just need the friends explaining what the first movie was to go away, and this thing will have a chance at the B.O. ;)

Just got back from Underworld 4, which I thought was awesome, and saw the 3D trailer for Spirit of Vengeance.

Thank God, it was the second trailer :D. Cuz it looks pretty freakin' cool on the big screen. I thought the 3D looked pretty good. But as stated earlier, the best of the 3D was definitely the chain flipping at the screen and pulling in the title.

But again, I'll see whatever showtime is most convenient for me. If it's 3D so be it, 2D so be it :D

Never seen a film in 3D, don't plan on starting now. They're expensive enough as is without the damn glasses, plus my eyes are already shot as it is.

Lol. Sorry bud. We actually saw it in 3D for $2 :woot:

... with all the kindness in my heart, I say **** You, kind sir!

Seriously, even I'd see a 3D flick for 2 bucks. Hell, I'd see a lot of movies for that price. Normal films cost $12.50 if I'm lucky. Don't even ask about Manhattan.

Don't worry NDX, it won't ever happen again. We had movie cash from the Underworld Blu-ray trilogy.

And I don't blame you, this was the first 3D film we've seen since Transformers 3.

We usually avoid it if possible.

If there is a 3D option, I usually opt for it. I want the best visual experience possible when I go to the movies. The last awesome 3D movie I saw was probably Transformers 3 in IMAX 3D. That was SO worth it.

I saw Thor in IMAX 3D. Asgard in 3D glory was...well...glorious :woot:

The only movie I was tempted to see in 3D was Captain America. And even then, I wasn't all that tempted. My friends and I just really wanted to see that flick on the big screen (and we had what might have been the perfect seats in the massive theater).

I'm totally with you on that one. If I'm going to see a movie, I better be getting a lot of bang for my buck. It's why I don't normally watch dramas or comedies in theaters. Watching that on a big screen with big speakers adds nothing to the experience and unless it's something like The Fighter (and even that's pushing it) it's usually a waste of $13. Theaters are for spectacles so if there's 3D it's usually a no-brainer for me.

Transformers 3 is probably still my best experience with it.

New Ghost Rider reviews (In German) overly negative as well:

Some translated parts mention that the violence is very unimaginative and limited due to PG-13. That apparently, wherever his chain goes, villains turn to dust. He also said the sequel was unnecessary and there are many glaring plotholes.

His Rating: 26% / 100

Conclusion: Movie does justice to the character, 3D sucks, and that he also said it was better than the first.

Rating: 3.5 / 5

Conclusion: Not as cheesy as the first, he felt that Neveldine/Taylor were restricted in their film making with this one; 3D sucks, the story is pretty bad, but it is more fun than the first. It is a good rental.

Conclusion: Cage and Neveldine/Taylor are a great pair. N/T's kinetic action sequences are really good. The 3D is flat, but aided by special effects makes it watchable.

Conclusion: Action is good, CG is good. Story is bland, full of illogical errors, but better than the first. He goes on to say that if you are a fan of Ghost Rider, you will enjoy it. Rating: 5.5/10

Conclusion: Ridiculous and fun, 3D is post-processed and not worth it. Don't need to watch original to understand the story, lots of aciton.

Conclusion: Great action, no substance; Crank directors infuse a lot of action to the movie; 3D is pointless and not worth the money.

So... Consensus, story is bland, action is awesome, CG is good, 3D sux, but a lot more fun and a better film than the original :)

That's all I was expecting from this film and that's fine by me. It would be nice to actually have a damn good script but I'm not going to see a movie about a skeleton on fire riding a motorcycle just for the story.

Gonna see if it hits a theater that has $6 tickets Tuesdays and Thursdays. Might miss it in theaters, but at this point, I have to think about work and money before seeing this film from so much just to most likely be disappointed.

Will it be successful? Thats the real question. if it makes 160 mil and over it'll get another sequel for sure.
