Glee Episode V: The Sylvester Strikes Back - - Part 11

It's really kind of sad about Sue. Back when it started, she was easily one of the highlights of the show. That dead horse has been beaten to an unrecognizable bloody pulp and is badly decaying.

Sue really doesn't have the same spark that she used to. I can't remember the last time I found anything she did as funny as I did in the early days.

Lynch can still rattle off the occasional good one-liner just because of that deadpan way she has, but that's about it.

The last thing I can think of that made me laugh was when she knocked out the Lt. Governor's wife at Regionals in Season 2.

And honestly, aside from her lame material, I wouldn't be surprised if part of Sue not having a spark anymore is because Lynch herself is really, really bored (and who could blame her?).

I have no doubt that she's bored with the role. There's been literally no development with the role. Her writing consistently circles back to her trying to **** over ND for whatever reason suits her in that particular episode.

I really wouldn't blame her or Matt Morrison for wanting off the show. Not for one second.

I don't think anyone fairly could.

Let's be real, majority of the cast isnt needed. Characters like Joe are just around to fill seats and show up for competitions so ND has their minion amount of players needed. Which of course is the problem since they only choose to develop 5 characters and act like they don't have enough time in 22 episodes to develop everyone.

Matt and Jane gotta love the show. They come in film for a day, go home have lives and work on other projects while not feeling obligated to be there daily... Its an easy paycheck

Not if half the talk about Matt wanting off the show is to be believed.

Rumor has it Broadway is his first true love, and where he really prefers to be.

He should play Paul Ryan though.

Broadway totally is... But i don't think glee is really haulting that much

I'm surprised that they haven't had colfer write or direct an episode yet with how much he has been doing out side of the show.

I'd actually be curious what Colfer could come up with for a Glee episode. If nothing else, he seems to be decent with snappy one-liners.

His movie is getting good reviews I believe so he would b probably write the most cohesive episode of the season.

Not that that would be saying a whole lot. Just from interviews you can tell Colfer is smart and witty though.

Supposedly, Fox considered changing the setting to NYC, but I doubt it'll happen. A lot of people care for the High School setting as much as the college setting.

Anyway, "Feud". Will and Finn will be clashing in the episode, over Finn kissing Emma and especially who gets to direct the Glee club. It's the kids that create the assignment of duets of feuding musicians to see if they patch things up. Will is singing "Bye Bye Bye" VS. Finn singing "I Want It That Way".

Will supposedly does kick Finn out of the club, leaving Finn aimless again.

Sue is feuding with Blaine because she wants him back in the Cheerios to ensure a win for an upcoming competition. Jake and Ryder are feuding over Marley. Santana is feuding with Brody over his secret.

These new kids need to be self aware enough to realize that they're boring. :o

Honestly, NYADA is way more boring. Ever since the pilot. But I'm thinking Santana will at least make the dynamic more interesting.

I'd rather watch Kurt and Rachel than Marley and Jake any day.

I do miss Cassandra's nastiness spicing things up though, since she apparently just randomly ceased to exist with no conclusion to her plot whatsoever.

I think they made a joke about that when Sue couldn't come up with any mean nickname for Marley, but yea, Marley and Jake make me fidget when they get too many scenes an episode. They have nice voices but that's about it.

jake isn't even a good singer.. it bothers the hell out of me that they even attempt to give him music

I think he's a good singer but they've been having him sing too much lately.

A couple episodes ago he sang like 3 times in 45 minutes.

meh he's horrible. He always sounds nasally like a bad country singer. He makes Finn look great

They would save a lot of money getting rid of the McKinley because of the extras and uneccessary cast. NYC only would work for sure: bring Blaine over (Sam as roommate?) and find a ridiculous reason for Sue to be in NYC. Murphy has stated how he wants the series to end I think it's Rachel getting a Tony and thanking Will and the Glee Club.

I'd accept Sue as their Mr. Roper-esque landlord.
