Halo 4 - Part 1

Is he the Bornsteller Didact or the Ur-Didact?

Bornstellar.

The Ur-Didact died centuries ago.

But wasn't Bornsteller the one who actually fired the Halo array? As it indicates in the terminals of Halo 3?

Yes it was, but remember, the Ur-Didact transferred his memories into Bornstellar. His original body was severely damaged in battle.

I can't wait to see what the Librarian did to Chief. Is he going to become Super Chief? Will he turn gold? Haha.

Can you see Chief dying at the end of this new Trilogy? When he becomes Super Chief and maybe gains abilities like the Didact, I don't want to play as him anymore. It might be fun for the last Mission, to be crazy powerful, but I wouldn't want it to carry over into another sequel. Unless he loses them.

Nah, I don't see Chief dying. That's a cop out in games anymore...Besides, he's Microsoft's Mario... Or as close as one can be to as mascot for a system. He's going no where, Microsoft simply won't allow it.

If Chief ever becomes more powerful...His enemies will too. So..

I just don't want the game to evolve into something completely different. I like this super soldier stuff, I don't want to have abilities like the Didact. Give me more vehicles, bigger mechs, new guns, maybe add more of the POV elements like in the first Mission, where be busted open a door, killed an Elite, climbed a wall and avoided debris. That I love. But once we start going down the Telekinetic route... eh, I don't think I can handle that. I just hope it never comes to that.

I wouldn't be surprised if Chief ends up getting SOME kind of Telekinetic power. I can see it being something like an armor ability where it has to cool down or whatever...But I can see it happening.

343 gave me the best game I've played all year and the best Halo game to date. I'm willing to take the "wait and see" approach. IF we get Telekinetic powers...I don't see them being usable in MP.

I wonder if the Arbiter will return ? He will eventually find out that the Chief is back & alive & well

Does Exp scale with your rank? At first I was earning 1000-3000 Exp in Spartan Ops. Now it's going over 5000.

He most likely will. Arbiter is a very popular character.

As for Chief's possible evolution, who knows what 343 has in store for John, but if he was able to survive The Composer's power then Chief could be an ultra-badass the next time we see him.

Bornstellar.

There must be a gap of time we're not seeing, because the Didact was imprisoned by the Librarian on Requiem for turning humans into promethean knights as we know, yet he was also the one to turn on Halo and wipe out all life later on?

I haven't been following Halo closely outside the games. And even within the games I haven't bothered to look for all Terminals that tell you more of the story. So it was quite a surprise to find out that Prometheans were actually humans.

It might be a tad bit confusing as it goes pretty deep into the Halo Universe's lore. However, if you read up on the past games on Wiki and whatnot you should be good. Halo 4 feels like a self contained story but it's the start of a brand new trilogy.

So..Yeah.

thanks.

This is crazy. I think my game was lost in the post. :csad: :csad:

Why wouldnt you just go to a store and buy it?
Was a really good deal, about half price including free microsoft points and vouchers. Also I didn't need it on launch day, just soon after launch. Plus with 300 games I've never had anything lost in the post. :csad:

I really want them to overhaul the betrayal boot mechanic in Halo 4. I got booted out of 5 BTB matches tonight because teammates kept stepping in front of my Warthog or Ghost as I drove by. I went on a killing frenzy in a ghost and because one teammate leapt in front of me and died I got booted and the whole match was gone. **** that ****!

I agree it needs to be overhauled but I thought for the complete opposite. I've been betrayed left and right as well as done my fair share of betraying but never a boot. That sucks for you though man. It needs to be tweaked big time

I think the problem is with the *******/childish gamers that boot you. I've had the same experience, the guy that I OBVIOUSLY killed by accident decides to be a dick and boots me anyway. Dont know how they could fix the boot mechanic when the circumstances regarding Friendly Fire are objective, what some my seem as a complete accident others see it as a malicious act and vise versa

I haven't had many problems at all with booting. I mean, since splatter kills are one of the only ways you can team kill know, it's hardly as much of a problem.

Pretty much. Even then, the booting system would be perfect if it weren't for all the ******** morons playing. Unless someone is chasing you around the map and purposefully messing with your experience you should never boot. Though it's insanely ironic that whenever a situation like that does happen the option to boot never comes up. :D

Players should be able to tell when it's a purposeful betrayal. I've had players follow me around shooting me and then eventually kill me, so I boot them. But if you walk into the path of on oncoming warthog, you deserve to die.

I dunno, I think sometimes even if it's accidental, a player deserves to get booted. We had one guy rush to get the warthog before anyone else could but in his haste, managed to splatter THREE guys. Sure an accident's and accident but that was just gross incompetence and we didn't shed a tear when one of the players booted him.
