Meh, Halo has never been a boss fight kinda game, it's always been more of a 'Everything's collapsing, GTFO' kinda game.
Did you clear a challenge? Or what happened?
so is this game good for someone brand new to the Halo series?
I cleared a single challenge but it only added 250 points to my score. I just did it again too.
Googled for a second. Apparently there's a Exp cap. It's set at 25,000 a day.
I really dig Spartan Ops. Legendary Solo is a hellish journey, but goddamn if I don't feel accomplished when I finish. They gotta work on the spawn points though. On the second chapter of episode two I kept getting spawned in the middle of a pile of Elites. I died sooo ****ing much. Once I dug my way out of that I felt like the king of Halo.
Why does the Halo team never let us fight a final boss? Besides Halo 2...
Whata let down with the climax.
Well, let's be realistic here. Chief had virtually no shot at beating The Didact on his own. He needed Cortana in order to 'win'. This ain't Call of Duty, afterall. That said, we're likely to face off against him multiple times in this trilogy. I severely doubt we've seen the last of the greatest warrior/general in Forerunner history. What we experienced wasn't even a boss fight really. So we'll probably get our chance to punch and shoot The Didact in the face in Halo 5 & 6.
Keep in mind, John-117's genetics were altered by The Librarian in this installment. Who knows what type of a factor that'll play into the next match up.
This game had it's moments of sheer frustration on Legendary but it was bareable. Some parts were pushovers.
And Halo has never been a boss fight type of game. And when it's ever been attempted, it's never been that good.
