Halo 4 - Part 1

I wish Spartan Ops would be a little more cinematic. Like Uncharted's co-op missions. Or Killzone 3's Operation Multiplayer. I would just really like to see the Spartan Team interacting with each other a bit.

Meh, Halo has never been a boss fight kinda game, it's always been more of a 'Everything's collapsing, GTFO' kinda game.

Driving my ass off to get off the Halo ring as it was falling apart was probably the most fun I've had playing this franchise. Fighting the flood being the least, of course.

I just got 11,980 XP for playing a game of Spartan Ops... Holy crud.

Did you clear a challenge? Or what happened?

so is this game good for someone brand new to the Halo series?

It might be a tad bit confusing as it goes pretty deep into the Halo Universe's lore. However, if you read up on the past games on Wiki and whatnot you should be good. Halo 4 feels like a self contained story but it's the start of a brand new trilogy.

So..Yeah.

I have a few Double XP points from Mountain Dew caps.. But I've NEVER got THAT much..Normally 5,000...but almost 12,000!?

Good lord the Reclaimer Mission is pissing me off.

fullbody

Googled for a second. Apparently there's a Exp cap. It's set at 25,000 a day.

I really dig Spartan Ops. Legendary Solo is a hellish journey, but goddamn if I don't feel accomplished when I finish. They gotta work on the spawn points though. On the second chapter of episode two I kept getting spawned in the middle of a pile of Elites. I died sooo ****ing much. Once I dug my way out of that I felt like the king of Halo.

Well crud. I guess those super Spartan Ops XP did me in.... Remind me not to do that again.

Guess I'll just wait til Midnight and try again.

Sniper Alley right. Happened to me as well. As soon as I would spawn I chucked my Plasma at an Elite hoping I would stick them. Good thing you get to choose your own Loadout.

I think Legendary Solo was unusually easy and not as much as a pain as I'd thought it would be, I was dreading alot of parts. Just as easy if not easier than Halo 3 on Legendary. Reach was a pain when it came to the tighter areas...Halo 2 was at times as well...scary on Legendary those were!

But yeah the respawn points in Spartan Ops are definitely awful.

Yeah, Legendary Solo wasn't that bad compared to past Halos.

Why does the Halo team never let us fight a final boss? Besides Halo 2...

Whata let down with the climax.

Well, let's be realistic here. Chief had virtually no shot at beating The Didact on his own. He needed Cortana in order to 'win'. This ain't Call of Duty, afterall. That said, we're likely to face off against him multiple times in this trilogy. I severely doubt we've seen the last of the greatest warrior/general in Forerunner history. What we experienced wasn't even a boss fight really. So we'll probably get our chance to punch and shoot The Didact in the face in Halo 5 & 6.

Keep in mind, John-117's genetics were altered by The Librarian in this installment. Who knows what type of a factor that'll play into the next match up.

This game had it's moments of sheer frustration on Legendary but it was bareable. Some parts were pushovers.

And Halo has never been a boss fight type of game. And when it's ever been attempted, it's never been that good.

Is he the Bornsteller Didact or the Ur-Didact?

I was under the assumption that it was Bornstellar. I thought the Ur-Didact

Was dead

But wasn't Bornsteller the one who actually fired the Halo array? As it indicates in the terminals of Halo 3?

But fighting Tartarus with a Banshee was awesome!

Finished the Game on Heroic. Pretty except for certain parts, not all too frustrating. But I won't attempt Legendary any time soon. And the ending... almost tore up. :(
