Don't like the pick. Henry right eye is way off from his left and it's very visible in that superman pic

I'm a 1978 baby, the year Superman the Movie came out![]()
Fans are a little worried with how dark the next Superman movie could turn out to be. From what we've seen up to now, the film does seem to have a darker tone and a more realistic atmosphere compared to previous films. New Superman, Henry Cavill, reassures: "It's not a dark movie by any means. Past representations of the character have been quite light... This is a more realistic view of the character, while still maintaining the very unrealistic, or potentially unrealistic features of an alien with superpowers." Another issue that has worried fans is the level of action in the movie. Will we finally see a Superman show us why he's super? According to screenwriter David Goyer, yes: "There is more action in Man of Steel than any of the Dark Knight Films" Zack Snyder's Man of Steel finally hits theatres on June 14th, 2013.
Love the bit about action

I'm noticing at how much Cavill looks more convincing than Brandon Routh as Superman, don't know if maybe the high collar on the SR suit gave Routh a thin neck therefore he looked more youthful like a Superboy than Man.
Whereas Cavill has sort of that thick bulkier neck that makes him look less boyish as Chris Reeve had a thicker neck after he started lifting weights.

Dude looks awesome. I don't see Cavill the actor I see Superman.
It funny bc when I see him outside of MOS related material or interviews, I see Henry Cavill.
It's like there's two separate people. That's good for him as far as I'm concerned.
Here is a less shadowy version of the picture.

Still not sure about the imagery of the actual movie. We havent seen much of Supes onscreen, but I hope he'll be shown less shadowy than the official Empire-shots. The contrast between the suit and his skin is too much sometimes.
I agree. That's the only reservation I have bc I know that it doesn't have to look that shadowy with so much contrast in one direction. Cavill looks pale more often then not. More saturation feels needed or less contrast. I would like a balance.
